During the 2025 federal government shutdown, Kentucky WIC participants should continue to use WIC services as normal until further notice. This includes continuing to use eWIC cards. WIC-approved stores are able to process purchases at this time. We encourage families to keep their WIC appointments and stay in contact with their local WIC clinics during the federal government shutdown.

Anyone can get a respiratory virus infection, but some people are at higher risk for developing serious illness. Protect yourself and others by:
-Staying up to date with vaccines, including COVID-19, influenza, and RSV
-Staying home if you are sick
-Washing your hands often
-Covering coughs and sneezes
-Consider wearing a mask if you are at high risk for serious illness or when spending time with others who are high risk
