We are proud to recognize Toiya White as our November Employee Spotlight!

Toiya serves as a Mental Health Technician and has recently taken on cooking at the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). Her days typically include morning check-ins, supporting clients, and preparing meals that bring comfort to the people she serves.

“My motivation is helping someone get through their day,” she shared. “Mental health doesn’t mean someone is ‘crazy.’ Some people just have off days and need support to help them through life.”

Outside of work, she enjoys coloring, traveling, and spending time with her family and her dog.

Congratulations to our law enforcement and first responder partners who completed Communicare’s Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training last week! CIT connects first responders with mental health professionals to build the skills and strategies needed to respond safely, effectively, and compassionately to people experiencing a mental health crisis.

We would like to congratulate Michael Fox, one of Communicare’s direct care workers, who has been selected as one of only five Caregivers of the Year nationwide through HHAeXchange and is the sole recipient from Mississippi. This award recognizes his work in providing quality in-home support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We are proud to recognize Jennifer “Jenny” Noe as our October Employee Spotlight!

Jenny helps individuals and families navigate challenges and connect them to local resources needed to improve their well-being. In her world, no two days are ever the same!

“I’m motivated by seeing someone take even a small step toward stability or hope and it reminds me why this work matters,” she shared. “My coworkers are like family.”

People might be surprised to learn that Jenny describes herself as “a little bit of a whirlwind fueled by Red Bull, chaos, and a sprinkle of love.” She says that energy helps her connect with others and bring some lightness to even the most stressful days.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, sharing that it’s the simple moments that recharge her and keep her grounded.
