Hey friends, I’ve been MIA - I don’t have any huge long explanation. My health has been poor, so I’ve slowed down to focus on getting back to my baseline. ✨
I appreciate y’all hanging out here and sticking around even when I don’t. I promise I am working on two handfuls of fun creative projects that I can’t wait to share with you - I’m just working at snail speed. 😂
I’ve been more active on , just because I’ve had more health stuff going on. Buuuttt, I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things come the new year.
In other news, I’ve been hibernating in our house, getting it decked out for my favorite holiday season! 🌲 This is one of my favorite little areas - the mantle. This little cluster of things around our big h (which is there all year), makes me smile. And it all looks so gorgeous against the mantle cover by brother from another mother made for me. 🥰
Anywho, I hope you’ve been well! 💕💛💕

Today was a strange day that ended with an ER visit for a flare up. 🙄 As annoying as that is, the experience was one of the better ER trips I’ve had. Everyone that helped me was SO kind! The doctor was knowledgeable and answered my questions as though he was chatting with a friend, not talking down like so many doctors tend to do. Even though I really hate ER trips, our days being thrown off because of my health, and everything that comes along with those things, today was a pretty good day overall. ☺️ I’m grateful for tonight’s ER staff, for Cody for being the best husband ever, for the fact that we were able to get home before midnight, that I didn’t have to take as many pain meds to get my pain under control, that I get to sleep in my bed tonight, and that tomorrow is a new day! 🤗💕
Goodnight, friends. I hope you’ve had a great day. And if you haven’t, I hope tomorrow brings everything you’re needing. 🥰 I’m excited to get back to work tomorrow. I have so many exciting things coming and I’m not ready to slow down just yet! 👏🏼🙌🏼

Last week I mentioned that I’ve been playing with my goodies quite a bit. As a way to not completely take a break from memory keeping (because it’s my first love) I’ve started keeping a simple TN insert that I fill with random moments and memories. Keeping it simple is key for me, so I have a handful of supplies - washi tape, stamps, markers, and a pen. That’s it! I print my photos on my little Instax printer and add a few words. I love that this keeps me in my crafty groove, helps me practice gratitude (a lot of my pages end up being little snippets of things I’m currently grateful for), and I love that my EECo. stamps add just the right amount of decor, without being over the top, and still serving a purpose of intentional embellishment. 😍🙌🏼 This insert is one of the older EECo. Inserts, but I’ll be moving to a new one after this is filled - keep an eye out for a flip through of the new TN inserts coming to the shop in October! Y’all are going to LOVE them!!! 🙌🏼

Morning views. 🌿
These days it seems like I’m more and more inspired by these little groupings of items I leave laying around the house. 😍 That and light. Our new house is so shadow-filled and has tons of moody lighting. I would have never imagined that I would love it as much as I do! 🥰
What have you been most inspired by recently?? Let’s chat below! 👏🏼💕

I’ve been away from paper crafting for some time now. As much as I miss it, I’m enjoying exploring other creative outlets right now. But, to get my paper/photo fix (because I can’t NOT play with paper and photos together) I’ve been doing a document-y type of journaling with a ton of goodies! 😍 In all honesty friends, the only paper supplies that have excited me in the past three (or so) months have been Christine’s products. I’ve been so drawn to this fresh, quick way of journaling, and the stamps are what I’m constantly reaching for. They’re perfect for it! 🙌🏼
I’ll share more soon, and will snap some photos of the recent pages I’ve completed. 🤗
What are you working on this week?

| I've been soaking up every last bit of sunshine here while the leaves start to change. We've had a few days recently where I've been able to pull out my shorts, and my pale legs are throwing parties over it. 😂We don't get out for hikes and outdoor adventures nearly as much as we used to (and as I wish we could,) thanks to my health, but we try to make our own adventures wherever possible. Cody, my momma, and I have been having fun with metal detectors in the backyard recently! Cody and I live in an old house with a ton of history - it has been such a blast digging up all sorts of treasures and making up long stories about each one. 😄😜Y'all already know I created a little backyard adventure first aid kit with some of my favorite goodies! Thank goodness too, since I'm the clumsiest - I constantly have cuts and bruises all over my legs! And I'm still sporting my finger splint from my last clumsy adventure! 😬Over on my blog today I'm sharing a look at my favorite Welly products and how I use them. So... here’s a story for you. 😄
Earlier this year Cody and I got married! Surprise! 😂👏🏼✨
I know, I know - talk about sharing a secret. 😬😄 So here’s how it all went down >>
In January sometime, less than a month before my 26th birthday, we realized I was about to lose my mom’s insurance. You know, you get too old and they kick you off and make you act like an adult? Well, as the procrastinator that I am, I waited until around a month before to decide how to solve the problem at hand. 😂 With all of my medical issues, I need really good coverage, and Cody and I knew realistically that the only way to get that was to get married. 🤷🏼‍♀️ We had planned on getting married eventually anyway, so we figured we’d do a civil ceremony before my birthday, not tell anyone, then have a full wedding at a later date and announce everything at that point. So with a little under a month, we set out to plan the “tiniest civil ceremony ever” where I was convinced I would wear jeans to the little town hall down the street, sign a paper, and be on my merry way with my new insurance. 😂
I’m sure you can tell by my sarcasm, that’s far from how things turned out. 😄 One thing led to another (maybe one day I’ll share the deets, but I’m lazy and the story is long) and on February 1st (our 7 year anniversary) we got married in our favorite town, at the lighthouse, with our closest family and friends. And after a month or so passed, we looked back and realized that the little wedding we had was perfectly us - I’ve never been one for tradition, and I love a good spontaneous moment. So, with much happiness, we decided that our small ceremony was perfect for us and that we really didn’t want anything more. 🥰
Once a couple months passed, it felt weird bringing it up. 😂 I decided a few months ago that I was going to wait until our 1 year wedding anniversary to announce it officially (even though I know a lot of you have figured it out. You smarty pants. 😉😜), but this morning God whispered a little something in my ear - he let me know that it’s okay for my journey to change, for things to be different than originally planned, and...

Ramblings on Listening -
Recently God has been pulling me toward art. And when I say pulling (or pushing?) I don’t mean a gentle nudge to try art for my anxiety. I’m talking - paint in my hair, taking over the dining room/kitchen table, color studies, technique learning, book reading, researching... artist.
A lot of you know that my main goal for 2019 was just to listen to God. To hear him, listen to what he says, and obey. I’m not a rule follower and I’m incredibly stubborn, so listening has never been my strong suit. Not to mention, at my core I am a paper crafter through and through. 🧐 Again, I’m not here to ask questions, I’m just here to listen.
So, I’ve been humbly prancing over to the table each and every day to put in my time working on what He wants me working on. I don’t know the bigger picture (yet) or if there is one? I’m notorious for not slowing down until I absolutely have to (ahem, recent injuries. I’m talking to you. 😂), so this has been a therapeutic time for healing. I open the windows and listen to nature while I paint and create and lose track of time. It’s just slightly stressful, extremely freeing, and the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Listen friends, it’s hard sometimes (or a lot of the time, like me) but listening to His plan will be abundantly more rewarding, even amidst the discomfort you’re currently feeling. I promise.
And those people you have to put on the back burner for months and months while you spend time with God and yourself? - They’ll wait. And if they don’t, they weren’t your people in the first place.
Thanks for being my people and for listening to my random morning thoughts. 😉 Happy Wednesday, friends. Go do that scary thing - I’m rooting for you! 💕

Boy oh boy, friends. 🥰 Today I got to meet my long time crafty pal Evi and her sweet husband Lars for breakfast!!! 🤩
and I have been friends on Insta for quite a few years now, we’ve been teammates on multiple design teams, and she’s been someone I’ve just admired for such a long time. Unfortunate for us, we live on opposite sides of the world, which makes hanging out a bit tough. 😂 But really y’all, it felt like we’d met a hundred times by the time I got the first hug in, and let me tell you, those are the best types of friendships. 💕 My heart needed this and I’m so grateful. 🥰
Missing you already, ! I hope you have an incredible rest of your trip. Love you, sweet friend!! 💕

It’s been a long time since I’ve done any sort of art or crafting. I previously mentioned that it had been so long, I wondered if I might be growing in a different direction. 😬
Knowing that I didn’t want that to be the case, I started trying to push myself into creativity, which led me further from it. I was uninterested and after a while, was kind of just over it all. This was all happening over the course of a year (last year) and when the new year rolled around, I decided 2019 would be my year to rediscover my creative self. Since January I’ve been trying to find my artistic voice and style and I’ll be honest, it’s hasn’t gone well. I’ve been feeling the same burn out that I have been and that same lack of interest, which is just frustrating sometimes.
Well friends, after half of a year of trying, I discovered what the root of the issue was - BOREDOM. When you do something as a hobby, a job, and everything in between, lines start to blur. You lose your purpose and your drive, only to be left creating mediocre art that you’re embarrassed to share because it’s not “you” and that you honestly would rather just toss out than keep. Life man, it’s weird. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Well, turns out my burn out was actually me longing for development. I’ve been stagnant in my art for a year and a half - creating the same thing over and over like a little robot. So, for the remainder of this year, I’ve decided to do some creative soul searching - to rediscover my style, my artistic voice, and to move my current skill set further in the direction I personally would like it to go. I’m really excited to share my findings with y’all and would love to have you along on this journey!
First up - Find Your Artistic Voice by . I’m so excited about this book and after getting 3 pages in over the weekend, I plopped myself down on our hotel bed and started blindly creating. I let my heart do its thing and tried to keep my brain out of it, which is sometimes a necessary for me. What you see here is pretty much as far as I made it before the disinterest set it, but hey, it’s a start and I will 100% take it! 🤗
I’m really looking forward to this journey of creative learning!! 🤗👏🏼🎉
