CORE Runners We're a free running club in Palm Harbor / East Lake, Florida for all abilities and distances. We run Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. Dogs welcome :-).

Start times may change, so email eastlakecorerunners@gmail.com for this week's schedule. The CORE Runners is a social running club that meets in the Lansbrook community for group training runs. We welcome all abilities and all ages, whether you are out for a walk or training for a marathon.

We are starting to build a club race schedule for the Fall!

We are going to pick a few races of different distances and build out group training, and then show up and race as a team. We are in the early planning stages, but we need ideas.

Kick off and schedule coming soon! Please message or post your ideas in the comments.

This week:

Saturday: Long Run @ 7:00 AM - YMCA
Meet across from the Y for our weekly long run. The group will split into distances/paces and then run Lansbrook or John Chestnut (or both!). Then join the group for coffee at the Ridgemoor Starbucks after the run.

No set distance or pace necessary to come out and run! Bring a friend.

Tuesday @ 6 AM: John Geigle YMCA overflow lot
Tempo Tuesday
Warmup: easy jog to 600 + drills back to start
Main Set:
35 minutes as 6 x (2:15 down tempo, 3:15 up tempo); 2:00 rest at the turnaround
Cool Down: 1200-1600 cool down

Thursday @ 5:45 AM: meet at 7-11 - AYF or Hills
Main Set (7-11):
5-6 miles moderate
OR
6 x hill repeats on long hill
Cool down to 7-11

Warmup: easy jog to 600 + drills back to start
Main Set:
2 x 800 as 600 @ HM, 200 fast; 45s between, 2:00 after set
2 x 800 as 600 @ 10K, 200 fast; 45s between, 2:00 after set
2 x 800 as 600 @ 5K, 200 fast; 30s between, 2:00 after set
8 x 100 @ fast, 15s between
Cool Down: 1600 easy jog

Thursday @ 5:45 AM: 7-11 - Hill Repeats
Main Set (7-11):
Warmup to Oak Hill
1 x long loop
6 x hill repeats on long hill
1 x short loop
Cool down to 7-11
