The Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA) established the following regulatory procedures for such claims for dietary supplements:

Structure/function claims describe the role of a nutrient or dietary ingredient intended to affect normal structure or function in humans, for example, ‘calcium builds strong bones.’ Also, they may characterize the means by which a nutrient or dietary ingredient acts to maintain such structure or function, for example, ‘antioxidants maintain cell integrity.’

While we are very grateful for any user feedback, product claims by Facebook community members must adhere to these rules by the FDA. Standard Process cannot allow comments claiming that diseases are treated, cured or prevented by supplements. Mother Nature is giving us plenty of signs that it’s time to get ready for spring. As the clocks spring forward this weekend, we are enjoying watching the farm come back to life after its long winter rest. Trees are beginning to bud, early flowers are greening up in the pollinator beds, and our alfalfa and winter grass cover crops are emerging from dormancy and showing fresh growth this week.

There’s something special about seeing the land wake up again, and we love sharing these moments with you each Farm Friday. 💚

Detoxification is not a cleanse; it is a daily enzyme driven process that helps the liver transform and eliminate compounds. Spanish Black Radish has been studied for its role in supporting Phase I and Phase II detoxification pathways.
