☃️ We’re grateful for more than a foot of snow that’s settled across our fields! With nighttime temperatures dipping to -3°F, this snowy layer isn’t just pretty, it’s protective.
Our cover crops, busy building soil health, are insulated by the snow, shielding delicate roots from harsh freezes. Beyond protection, the snow provides much-needed moisture as it melts in the spring and releases nitrogen that nourishes the soil for next season’s crops.
Sometimes the quietest moments, like fields under snow, are when nature is doing some of the hardest work. ❄️
