Our practice was founded in 1987 and now has grown into three offices that cover the South Suburbs of Chicago. These offices are located in Palos Heights, Chicago, and New Lenox. Our team of six full time Board Certified pediatricians is available to provide the best medical care for your family. Our friendly staff has been trained to provide support services and facilitate your medical care. We are dedicated to our families and feel privileged to be part of their lives. February is heart health month! Our hearts are powerful organs that pump blood to each and every part of our bodies. It provides our cells and tissues with the oxygen they need to thrive! Help your children build good habits that help to prevent heart disease. 1. Eat well - think fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean meats, reduced fat dairy, beans and legumes. Avoid the ultra processed stuff! 2. Stay Active - whether it is jump rope, bike riding, dancing or playing tag - get them up and moving! 3. Maintain a healthy weight - maintaining a healthy weight helps prevent high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes. (All of which can be linked to heart disease). 4. Monitor cholesterol - make sure to test cholesterol! 5. Minimize stress - unplug and relax! Kids can do yoga, reading, coloring, quiet time, etc to have a moment to unwind. This is helpful for parents too! 6. Prioritize sleep - try to stick to those bedtime routines. Think dark, quiet and free from screens.
