Want to know why I picked the eggs I did to incubate? Here's an up close view of the brown speckles that stole my heart.
Speckles are a genetically controlled trait, so I'm hoping the offspring of these eggs will inherit that trait and their eggs will be speckled to perfection!

14 eggs went into lockdown tonight. Not a terrible outcome seeing as how some of these eggs were collected on or a few days before January 31st and were sitting around waiting to be cooked until February 11th.
