We are planning to open the Y tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th, from 5:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
🏊 Indoor pool will close at 4:00 p.m.

🚫 All childcare programs will be closed tomorrow.

⚠️All group exercise classes are canceled.

If you plan to visit the Y, please use caution—parking will be limited due to weather conditions.

YMCA Child Development Center and Grey-Y Center are CLOSED Monday! Everyone stay safe and warm! ❄️🥶

Due to inclement weather, all YMCA facilities and programming will be closed on Monday, January 26.

The safety of our members, staff, and program participants is our top priority. This closure is being made to ensure everyone remains safe during the weather conditions.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to stay safe. Please continue to monitor your email and our social media channels for any additional updates regarding reopening.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, we are going to cancel the 4-5 games tomorrow afternoon due to weather. K-1 AND 2-3 GAMES WILL BE PLAYED AS SCHEDULED.

We want all of our Y members to stay informed about the weather this weekend. The safety of our members, participants, volunteers, and staff is our top priority. Although we strive to keep the Y open and our programs running for Bourbon, Harrison, and Nicholas Counties, we may need to cancel programs, delay openings, or close due to severe weather, unsafe driving conditions, or power outages.

Our operating decisions are based on weather alerts, school delays and closures, road conditions, and the ability of our YMCA staff to safely operate the facility.

❄On Saturday, January 23, 2026, we plan to open and operate our facility during our regular business hours from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

❄Please note that all group swim lessons for tomorrow have been canceled and will be rescheduled by Aquatic Director Mary Turvey at mturvey@parisbourbonymca.org.

🌟 About Megan:

Experienced choreographer and gymnastics teacher

Gymnastics Teacher at OC Elementary Schools, Beaver Dam, KY

Character Performer- Once Upon A Fairytale Kentucky

Choreographer for Ohio County High School, Beaver Dam, KY

BA in Theatre, University of Kentucky (2025)

Former Dance Team Captain and certified in CPR & First Aid

Passionate about teaching movement through creativity and discipline

📚 Class Structure Highlights:

Classes follow National Gymnastics Association (NGA) level guidelines. Each level requires different skills to progress to the next.

Youth programs start with Levels 1–3, advancing to Silver and Gold as skills develop

Advanced sessions tailored for older children with prior gymnastics experience

Dance elements infused for rhythm, grace, and coordination
