Remember me? Tulsa the cute donkey? Been a while but we’re officially back! Our first few groups of the year have visited, and we’re all happy to be back at work.

Over the weekend came out and we couldn’t be more proud of Ellie Mae joining her very first session. Although a little hesitant at first, she actively engaged with the group and even allowed a new friend to pet, brush, and lead her. I can already tell she’s going to be a natural!

As summer has come to an end it gave us some highs, lows, and lots changes around here.
We said goodbye to Toby as he moved on to greener pastures. He has left a big hole in our herd and our hearts, but we are grateful we got to love him for over 20 years.
We recently welcomed Ellie Mae into the herd. She’s a BLM b***o, coming from the Sinbad HMA in Utah. She will join me on the trails as a running partner and will eventually work in our therapy program. As she is still quite new to domestic life, she has a lot to learn from all of us.
And finally, our last group of the season came this week and we loved trying on Halloween costumes to end on an extra fun session 🎃

My second race is in the books. With Riggins and Rory as my training partners I’m starting to figure out this racing thing. I had some speedy miles and some I needed an extra push, but we made it across the finish line in a respectable time!

The rest of this week has been spent visiting with our communities (the best way to recover in my opinion).
