In another episode of, "you never know what you are going to do in a speech session" I bring to you wh- questions, inferences, and perspective taking while reading a story about Elvis! We then watched a video of his favorite song in concert so we could practice that perspective taking.
Abraham Lincoln, assassinations, Indiana Jones, Backstreet Boys, Elvis.... this job always keeps it interesting and I'm always the one learning something new!

Our Speech Intensive is now up!
This is 4 hours a week of speech for 6 weeks!
We will be focusing on speech sounds and phonological patterns (final consonant deletion, weak syllable deletion, cluster reduction, etc.) and theme based vocabulary! This year we will focus on BUGS and Construction/Building!
We have a fantastic location with indoor and outdoor classrooms and lots of space to stretch out.
If you want to tackle your child's speech sounds in a fun group environment with an ECE teacher and SLP this is the group for you!

Preschool Summer Camp is finally out! We are so excited to announce we will be holding our camp at Castle Community Preschool where we will have a great classroom and outdoor classroom space! We have a powerhouse team ready to have a SUPER fun time with your kiddos! Our theme this year is Pets and Animals and we have some great sensory, crafts, games, stories, and play-based learning ready to go!

3-4 year olds in the morning
5-6 year olds in the afternoon

When you can't find any conversation hearts at the store (what??) And you pivot last minute with a fun torn paper valentine craft and hidden mini skittles to tackle that "singing sound". The kids love the cue of "take your tongue to Target!" It is everyones favorite store afterall 😉

I have opened up Mondays and Wednesdays over the summer for extra speech sessions! If you have Cigna, United or Medicaid I can work with those as well. Please reach out to get that scheduled and work on all those speech and language skills over the summer!
