My formula that actually works 💛

As a busy mom and successful career woman, it’s hard to find a balance between all the pulls in life. I try to find ways to not be depleted and protect my own energy. Bubble baths and doomscrolling aren’t doing the trick .

When you start finding ways to build healthy patterns around daily interactions, the self care practice becomes more organic.

You don’t need to squeeze more in your schedule 🚩 👉You just have to reframe what you’re already doing.

The relationship with yourself is the most important relationship you have. 💕

If this hits, follow along for more. So glad you’re here. 🤍

If you’re doing the juggling act with me, here’s your quiet reminder that you are doing enough. Give yourself grace for all that you do. I see you.

Emotional distance is one of the main issues that couple state is bringing them to therapy. We as humans thrive for connection. We want to feel seen, heard, and loved. True independence actually invites closeness because of how secure the independent person may be. While emotionally distancing oneself, like pulling away, keeps you alone.

I took a deep dive to share something more personal this time. Birth trauma happens and it’s not as uncommon as we think. I experienced it first hand. We (my husband and I) experienced it first hand. I wanted to share to remind you you’re not alone. I also wanted to offer some feedback if it’s putting you and your partner through an emotional rollercoaster like I experienced.

Read more about my experience and how to navigate it together. It’s on the blog now! Link in bio!

Gentle ways to protect your relationship during Birth Trauma:

1. Talk about the unsaid. You don’t have to experience the trauma in the same way. You don’t have to fix each other’s pain, but naming what you’re carrying keeps disconnection from taking root.

2. Grieve differently, but together. Understand you both may react different. Don’t make assumptions on how this may mean the other person doesn’t care. Offer your own bids of connection and hope they are received.

3. Create small rituals together. Check in with one another. Hold hands. Remind yourself you’re on the same team.

4. Seek support.
