October is and as a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon who specializes in , this month is particularly important to me. Studies have shown that women who learn about their reconstruction options are more likely to choose it, and reconstruction has the power to help women feel restored and whole in their bodies after battling cancer.

Cancer education doesn't just happen in October, and as a part of our year-round efforts to raise awareness, educate, and support the community, we put together this guide for survivors and those facing a diagnosis with the information that will help them during this journey.
