We are excited to invite you to our Mindfulness in Law webinar on June 13 at 12 E provided by The Florida Chapter of The Mindfulness in Law Society, the Mental Health and Wellness Committee of The Florida Bar and the Florida Judicial Wellness Program!

Wakeful Wednesdays @ 5:00 PM EDT
Click the days above to register for the meetings and keep an eye on the MILS website for additional meetings and events. Anyone in the legal profession is welcome to attend. No experience is necessary; experienced and beginners are welcome!

Starting Sunday, April 2nd and Wednesday, April 5th: You will have the option of starting an 8 week yoga class!! Sundays: 4-5pm and Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm.

Leslie Donovan, RYT 200, is a certified yoga instructor and is inviting you to Mindful Movement. Leslie will have modifications in movement to assist participants with various movement needs.

$10 drop-in fee, discounts available for those attending all classes.

The Florida Chapter of MILS was formed in August 2022 and was created with the intention of creating community, sharing the benefits of mindfulness, and fostering well-being with each individual associated with the legal profession around the state. When we engage in contemplative practices such as yoga, mindfulness meditation, among others, we are signaling to our mind, body, and spirit that we can exhale and create stillness within despite all that is happening around us.

Our first meeting via Zoom will be on Tuesday November 8th from 11:00 central to 11:30 central / 12:00 eastern to 12:30 eastern, registration link in Linktree as well. If you are new to meditation or contemplative practices, may you feel welcome to come as you are with an open mind :)

Look forward to practicing with you!

To law students near and far:

May you feel encouraged and supported throughout your legal education to ask for help when you need it, take breaks that recharge you, and may you continue to foster relationships with your family and peers.

It is wonderful to see steps taken in legal education to support the well-being of students. If we find and effectuate adaptive ways to cope with stress while we are in school, the more effective and competent we will be as members of the profession.
