Magnolia 🎀
Magnolias Birth story:
After my water breaking Wednesday 2/11/26 at 11pm and then nothing progressing all day Thursday 2/12 after trying all the natural ways to start contractions at my midwifes birth center we ended up going to the hospital...
With my midwifes support and after the long day we came to the decision it was time to see baby so we got to the hospital and then after just a little bit of pitocin contractions started and then 2& 1/2 hours later baby girl came after 4 pushes she was out!!! It’s been a whirlwind and wild ride but I am so thankful we had so much support to still try and go as natural as we could ...
We also went to a different hospital this time that has a good working relationship with my midwives and the nurses/ ob on staff were amazing and supportive... Helping me through labor the whole time and supporting my birth plan. We also had two of my friends who were at Hudsons birth and they both helped as doulas through the birth/ took pictures and helped while Eric helped me through as well (he is basically a doula now also 😆).
It was amazing and wild (esp considering we were trying to have a home birth this time) but baby had other plans and also God’s timing we think it was meant to be ❤️. We truly felt so much peace every step of the way because every single time we were stressed or scared about a decision we prayed. Jesus was definitely with us 😭.

My dream birth of welcoming our second daughter at home, with my love by my side and the most amazing team of midwives supporting us came true.

Everything about it felt so peaceful and right. I felt safe, supported, and strong every step of the way.

Our hearts are so full. 🩷

March came in soft, strong, and full of beautiful beginnings 🌿✨

We had the honor of welcoming some truly special Wild Rose babes this month…

First up, Miss Chara Jo 🤍
Doing exactly what third babies do… whatever they want.
After keeping everyone on their toes, she chose her own day and made her entrance just as the sun rose. With her big sisters quietly watching beside dad and her momma laboring with calm strength, Chara Jo took her first breath in a room filled with pure joy.

Next, sweet Areti 🌸
A first-time momma who stepped into her power so beautifully. Transferring into our care at 34 weeks, she leaned in, trusted her body, and labored peacefully through the night. Just before midnight, surrounded by love and support, she brought her baby girl earthside with strength and grace. The moment Areti was born… unforgettable.

Now, baby Augustus 💙
Swift, strong, and ready. We were called just over an hour before his arrival and made our way to Ft. Walton, where momma was already deep in it. This second-time momma absolutely rocked her first unmedicated home birth, welcoming Augustus quickly and confidently. What a powerful morning.

Sweet little Alice ☀️
A beautiful reminder that every birth writes its own story. After a long first labor in another country, this momma was surprised with a quick, peaceful water birth at home. We paused clinic and headed to Gulf Breeze just in time to witness her strength as she welcomed her baby girl on a sunny, joy-filled day.

And lastly, baby Joseph 🤍
Keeping everyone on their toes, this little guy arrived a bit earlier than expected. After momma’s water broke, he wasted no time making his debut. With the support of the Sacred Heart L&D team, Joseph was born healthy and strong—just how we love it.

Such a beautiful month. Such incredible families.

Thank you for trusting us to walk alongside you in such a sacred season.

What a month, Wild Rose 🌿✨

It’s never goodbye… it’s always a see you later 🤍

Italy is gaining one really amazing family — and their Midwife too, because you already know I’ll be visiting someday ✈️

Hillari reached out to me at the end of 2023, right after finding out she was pregnant, while also walking through the deep loss of her mom. I remember pacing back and forth on my porch during our first phone call, praying that God would always allow me to be who and what my mommas need, exactly when they need it. She was one of the very first to trust me as a newly licensed midwife… and from that moment on, we just clicked.

I’ll never forget everything leading up to little Miss Emma’s birth. And I definitely won’t forget her sticky shoulder and hearing so clearly in my spirit, “trust your hands.”
We had a beautiful birth, a sweet postpartum season… and now, a lifelong friendship.

And let’s not forget — Emma still holds the title for biggest home birth babe 👏🏽 girl power all the way 💪🏽

Saying “see you later” never gets easier in this work. Midwifery holds so many sacred hellos… and sometimes, more see you laters than we’d like. But what a gift it is to be woven into the stories of families like this one.

I’m so thankful. So honored. And so expectant for all that’s ahead for you.

Safe travels, Gharib Family 🤍
See you later ✨

No one prepares you for the loss of your pregnancy.

For what it feels like to grieve moments and milestones that were once so full of hope.
To never feel those sweet, tiny kicks.
To possibly never see your sweet angel or hear their strong little heartbeat.

You grieve your labor and birth story.
Your postpartum body.
Your baby snuggles.
All of it.

And somehow, in the middle of that grief, you’re expected to find the words.
To explain the unexplainable.
To respond when people say “I’m sorry,” even when nothing about it feels like enough.

Loss is heavy.
It’s raw.
It’s deeply personal.
And it doesn’t look the same for any two mothers.

One of the things about care at Wild Rose during this tender time is that you will never feel alone. Over the last year, we’ve had the honor of holding space for a few mamas and families walking through loss. Each story has been different. Each setting has looked different. Each heart has carried it in its own way.

But what remains the same is this—
the depth of compassion,
the gentleness of care,
and the intention to create space for healing.

We hold space for every mama who has experienced loss.
We honor your baby.
We honor your story.
We honor you.

We see you.

Legend ✨

My birth wasn’t the picture perfect, aesthetic, living room Kumbaya experience I had imagined… but it was perfect in its own way!

The week of Christmas, I had a feeling he might come early, but no real signs. Sunday (the28th) afternoon I noticed an emotional shift, then light cramping that evening. I knew we were getting closer, but if you asked LaMarcus and I, we still thought we had a few days 😅

I truly gaslit myself through most of my labor until about 2 hours before he was born. Things went from 8 to 10 minute contractions to 2 to 3 minutes apart so quickly. My biggest worry was if Meg would make it in time because of how intense everything became. She did at 4:04 am ( the 29th) and he was born just 33 minutes later.

Giving birth in a pool in my dining room was one of the most empowering moments of my life. Fully trusting my body and working through the pain was something I’ll never forget.

There was a moment I started to doubt myself, but I remember hearing LaMarcus encouraging me the entire time, and Meg gently guiding me to lock in, trust my body, and work with it to bring Legend into the world. The very first thing I said after he was born was, “how did I just do that?” because I was in complete shock that I was strong enough MENTALLY to! 🤍

I am forever grateful for this experience and would do it all over again. There’s something so special about trusting your body to do what it was created to do, in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by peace.

Meg truly felt like family through it all, and I’ll always be thankful for her calm, steady presence 🤍✨

Hudson 🩵

I had dreamed of having a homebirth since having my first baby 5 years ago. This was my third baby and even though I had gone unmedicated at the hospital with my second, I knew it was time to take the leap and trust this was the right decision for me and my family.

The night before birthday (my due date!) I started feeling some light contractions. I went to bed, tried to sleep, and realized around 4 am that baby was ready to meet us.

Even though birthing at home was a new experience, I never felt scared or anxious. Everything was so calm and peaceful from the start. Once Meagan and Sheradia arrived I knew I was safe to get in the zone. I labored for about 3.5 hours after their arrival and roared baby out with only a few pushes. Even at the end when I thought things were impossible (hello transition!), Meagan locked eyes with me and made sure I knew I was safe and this was exactly what my body was made to do. She made sure I knew I was strong and powerful and more than capable. Sheradia took such sweet care of me and baby boy as soon as he came, making sure he was perfectly content on my chest. I said over and over "I did it!" and had never felt so proud.

I could not have asked for a better birth team or birth. I had been diagnosed with the flu and bronchitis only a few days before giving birth and knew that could create challenges but trusted my midwives with it all. Baby boy arrived into my arms perfectly and I would do it again 100 times over.

The birth of Meadow 🩷
My third birth was 8 hours of hard labor, requiring my focus and trust. Trust in myself and also trust in my birth team. So many times I said out loud I couldn’t do it, and every time Meagan and Sheradia told me I could. That it was alright, there was no rush and everything was happening at the right time.
When I finally birthed her it was such a relief, and while I exhaled Meagan and Sheradia were silently and calmly helping Meadow take her first breath. No panic, no immediate cutting of the cord, no strained voices. Just my midwives expertly assessing her, tending to her, and giving her breaths all while she was in my arms with me, cord still in tact. Even though she didn’t cry right away I was never scared, I knew we were all in good hands. I trusted them. And while I labored and birthed my second daughter, my first was by Meagan the whole time, watching and listening as Meagan explained what was happening. To have my daughter so involved with my birth team was great, and it was an amazing experience for her to witness!
I will forever be so grateful that these women walked with me through another one of my births ♥️

🌿 A Sweet Milestone for Wild Rose 🌿

Over the past few weeks we’ve had the honor of welcoming several beautiful babies into the world, and somewhere in the middle of all that joy… we quietly reached a very special milestone.

Wild Rose Midwifery has now welcomed our 77th baby born at home since our first birth in December 2023.

Seventy-seven little lives.
Seventy-seven families.
Seventy-seven sacred birth spaces where parents met their babies for the very first time.

We never take for granted the trust that families place in us. Being invited into these moments — into homes, into vulnerability, into strength, into brand new beginnings — is something we carry with deep gratitude.

To every family who has trusted the Wild Rose team to walk alongside you… thank you. Your stories, your strength, and your babies mean the world to us.

Now we’re already dreaming ahead…

🌹 What should we do to celebrate our 100th Wild Rose baby born at home?

A special keepsake?
A celebration with our Wild Rose families?
Something fun for the 100th baby?

Tell us your ideas below — we’d love to hear them.

So much love,
The Wild Rose Team
