Leaders from the aging services industry, including representatives from EverTrue as well as three dedicated EverTrue PACE participants (pictured), were on site at the Feb. 3, St. Louis County Council Committee of the Whole Meeting to share their support of placing a senior citizens services levy on the ballot in St. Louis County this November.

The proposed property tax would help fund programs for people 60+ and is five cents per $100 of taxed property value. The funds from the tax would remain in St. Louis County and enhance services for St. Louis County older adults by supporting programs that improve health and quality of life. Services that could be supported include transportation, in-home services, home repairs and other vital services.

EverTrue is in support of this addition to the ballot as funds would directly support the older adults we serve in St. Louis County who are served by our EverTrue Anywhere Care programs and services.

Fred Astaire once said, "Do it big, do it right and do it in style." 🕺

EverTrue President and CEO Adam Marles followed Fred's advice this weekend when he participated in the Independence Center St. Louis annual "Dancing with the St. Louis Stars" fundraiser, winning a trophy with his dance partner Angie as 🏆 "Judge's Favorite." 🏆

Adam was supported in his efforts by residents of Independent Living at EverTrue Mason Pointe, who not only participated but helped to steal the show! 💃 💃 💃 💃 💃

"Mission is at the heart of everything we do at EverTrue and I believe it is the same at Independence Center, which is why I wanted to be involved in this opportunity," said Adam during the competition.

With our EverTrue mission ~ Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest ~ on stage in graceful fashion, we are proud of our leader and our residents who continue to show up for our community at large.

EverTrue received more than $189,000 in funding from United Way of Greater St. Louis!

This generous support helps power the EverTrue Answers programs, a resource dedicated to providing information from experts on the varied aging services available and how best to use them age well with purpose.

EverTrue Answers team members are licensed social workers with advanced knowledge of care management and referral sources. The program provides services like Good Neighbor, which offers financial assistance for older adults who need home-based, non-medical services offered by EverTrue Home Help. This support also expand support for Project Wellness, which brings nurses into EverTrue Affordable Housing Communities to engage in proactive healthcare.

These resources help us continue delivering trusted guidance and meaningful impact to those we serve.

On Friday, Samaritan and Bethel residents were able to take a tour of the Advanced Medical Transport building in Peoria. We learned so much and had a great time getting to know everyone! None of us knew everything they have done and continue to do for our community, and we were blown away.
