Shoutout to Waldrup Somatic Method for coming out and working with Yatzi and Nash today!

Anyone can train commands. Not every trainer knows how to work with a dog’s nervous system or looks at the whole body in the process. That’s the difference here at Fetch This Canine.

I took Rose’s Pro Series course and it’s woven into how I work with every dog that comes through. She said it perfectly; calm isn’t something you train. It’s something you build.

If you’re dreading every walk, embarrassed by every reaction, and exhausted from just existing with your dog, that’s not just a training problem. That’s a nervous system problem. And that’s exactly what we address in my 3 Week Board and Train programs. Summer spots are filling up, call today to schedule! Link in bio.

Meet Cooper! 🥊🐾

This handsome 5½-year-old Boxer just checked in for his 3 week board and train, and we are already big fans. 😍

Cooper’s here to work on his confidence and manners and a big part of that work starts with his nervous system. 🧠✨ Before a dog can truly learn, he has to feel safe enough to receive information. Regulation first, results follow.

We love watching that shift happen in real time; a dog who came in uncertain leaving grounded, responsive, and ready. 👀🙌

If your dog needs a reset, a confidence boost, or solid manners work, our 3 week board and train is exactly what you need. 👇

Nash is GRADUATING and he’s only 12 weeks old! 🎓🐾✨

This little Catahoula came in at 10 weeks and in just 3 weeks he has made huge strides. Crate manners, potty training, puppy manners, socialization, exposure. He’s learned so much, we are not kidding around over here. 😄

The foundation this boy is building right now will shape everything that comes after. And his mom is leaving with the skills to keep that momentum going strong. 💪

There is still plenty of road ahead but Nash is already set up to WIN. 💜

Puppyhood does not have to be chaos. With the right start it can actually be fun. 🌟

Perdita GRADUATED and she absolutely crushed it! 🎓🐾✨

This girl came in with a nervous system in overdrive, always scanning, always braced for what’s next. She’s leaving as a dog who finally knows how to exhale. 😮‍💨

And now? Her people get to be part of that. 🙌

They’re going home with real tools. How to read her, how to help her regulate when the world gets loud, how to be the steady presence she needs to come back to. This isn’t just a trained dog. This is a whole family leveling up together. 💪🐕

We are SO proud of Perdi! 💜

Your dog doesn’t have to live on high alert. There is another way and we can show you both how to get there. 🌟

If your dog is ready for their own transformation, let’s talk. Schedule your call at the link in bio. Your pup could be next. 🐕🎓

Mayple has officially graduated and we are SO proud of this girl! 🎓🎉🐾

This slideshow is just a small peek at all the fun she had during her time with us and we loved every single second of it. 📸✨

And can we talk about how well she did?! 🙌 Mayple came in and absolutely nailed her manners and behavior. She was a total rockstar and made us so proud every single day. 🌟

She is an absolute joy and her family is in for the best time with her. 🐶❤️🥹
Mayple, we are going to miss you so much! 🥰

Your dog deserves to have a blast AND come home with the manners to match. 🐾 That is exactly what our Board & Train is all about. Link in bio to schedule your free discovery call and let’s get your pup started! 🔗

Socialization isn’t just about being around people and places. It’s about building a dog who can take the world in stride. 🐾✨

Check out Nash! 🐶 He’s in the middle of his early socialization window, and we took that work on the road to bealls. 🛍️

New smells. 👃 New sounds. 👂 Strangers moving past. Shopping carts. And then the mirror. 🪞

He stopped. Looked. Tilted his head. 🤔 Moved a little closer. Tried to figure out exactly what he was looking at. That curious, engaged response? That’s what we’re after. Nash didn’t shut down, didn’t spook. He investigated. 💪

That’s what thoughtful socialization looks like. It’s not about flooding a dog with stimulation and hoping for the best. It’s about controlled exposure, reading the dog, and letting them build confidence at their own pace. 🙌

Nash did a great job out there. 👏🐾

If your puppy is in that critical socialization window, don’t wait. The window is short and what happens inside it matters. Our Puppy Development Board & Train is designed to lay that foundation right through exposure, confidence, and real-world skills built in from the start. 🏆

Perdita crushed it at the park today! 🐾

Perdita came in nervous. Not dramatic, not reactive, just a dog who wasn’t sure the world was safe.

Here she is at the park, passing people, ducks, and dogs. Steady. Present. Doing the thing. 🙌

That calm you’re watching isn’t something we forced. It’s what happens when a nervous dog finally gets the structure and support that tells her nervous system it’s okay to settle down. 💜

Balanced work. Nervous system regulation. A dog who can move through the world without bracing for impact. 🐕

If your dog is on the anxious side, shut down, hesitant, or just never quite relaxed out in public, board and train might be exactly what they need. 👇

Mayple, being the best lunch date! 😄🐾

She had a moment out there- street traffic, people walking by, all the outside noise. 🚗 But she corrected quickly and held her down through the rest of the meal. No meltdown. Just a dog working through it like a pro. 💪

That’s what real-life training actually looks like. Not a perfect dog. A dog that knows how to recover. ✅

That’s exactly what our 3-Week Board & Train is built around: real-world reliability, not just living room manners. 🏠➡️🌍

Your dog stays with us, works with us daily, and comes home ready to handle life with you. 🐕❤️

Nash is 11 weeks old. And yes, even he gets a somatic release session. 🐶

Here’s why: puppies aren’t blank slates. They come in with nervous systems already shaped by birth, littermates, early handling, and every new experience they’ve had since. That’s a lot for a tiny body to process. 🧠

When a puppy learns to really decompress, not just crash from exhaustion, they’re building a skill they’ll carry for life. 💫 Self-regulation doesn’t happen automatically. It gets modeled, supported, and practiced.

Watch his body. That’s what a nervous system letting go looks like. 👀

This is the work. 🐾

Perdita had a field trip today! 🐾 We took her to Michaels for a real-world heel session and she showed up ready to work.

She came in a bit on alert. New environment, new smells, enough stimulation to get her system going. Instead of letting that run the show, I went straight into structure. Heel. Pause. Direction changes. Back to heel. She stayed with me and followed handler guidance the entire session, working through it with clarity. 🐕‍🦺🚶‍♀️

After the session, we did somatic release and a regulation massage to help her nervous system fully downshift and integrate the outing. 🧠✨🤲 This is where the body gets to let go of what it was holding and return to baseline instead of staying stuck in activation.

Because training is not just about what the dog does in the moment. It is about how their body learns to recover after it. A regulated dog learns faster, retains more, and lives easier in the real world.

This is what progress looks like in 3 weeks at Fetch This Canine.

If your dog is reactive, inconsistent, or just not where you want them to be, a board and train might be exactly what you need. Call us to learn how training can help! 📞

Mayple took her very first field trip and she showed UP! 👏🐾

New place, new smells, new noises and she handled it like a rockstar. Not only did she practice her commands out in the real world, but she also worked through distractions and unfamiliar sounds with growing confidence.

This is exactly why we do field trips.

Training doesn’t stop at home or in a quiet environment. It has to carry over into real life where things are unpredictable, a little messy, and full of distractions. These outings help proof her commands so she learns that listening isn’t optional depending on the environment…it’s everywhere.

And Mayple took a big step in that direction. 💪🦮

More exposure. More confidence. More real-world reliability.

This is how we build dogs who can handle life not just training sessions. 💜

🚨 May training spots are now open and there’s limited spots still available. If you’re ready for this kind of real-world progress with your dog, now’s the time to get started.

Secure your spot before they’re gone!

Big world…tiny puppy! 🐶🌎✨

Today was all about Nash expanding his horizons and taking in the front yard, new sights, new smells, new sounds…all while getting used to wearing a leash. 🐾

And no, this wasn’t about perfect walking or a controlled heel. 🙅‍♀️🐕

This was about puppy development. 💡

🐾 Exploring a new environment
🐾 Building confidence outside the home
🐾 Learning that the leash isn’t something to fight
🐾 Processing the world without overwhelm

At this stage, enrichment and exposure matter far more than precision. 🧠✨
Because a puppy who feels safe, curious, and confident in new environments will be so much easier to guide later on.

The structure will come. ⏳
The obedience will come.

Right now? We’re building the foundation. 🏗️🐶

Nash is learning how to exist in the world and that’s a big deal. 💪🐾
