📚 Monday Reading Boost
Kick off Monday with reading confidence.
➡️These quick 45-minute reading sessions help kids start the week strong, get meaningful reading practice, and build confidence in a fun, relaxed setting. It’s also a great way to help prevent the summer reading slide.

📚Kids can bring a favorite book or choose one here. We’ll read together, practice strategies, and keep reading positive and engaging.

Starts in May and continues all summer!
45 minutes — $40 per session
Siblings half off!

Sessions are scheduled on the hour to make it easy for families.

We may be temporarily closed… but behind the scenes we’ve been busy! 👀

My designer at and I have been hard at work designing and testing NEW Talkets™ mini objects.

These are made to be simple, engaging, solid-colored, and very durable! Perfect for little hands and everyday play and learning.

Each Talket™ is about 1.5 inches, making them true mini objects that are easy to use for speech therapy, learning, and play.

And the best part?
They are 3D printed in-house right here in , Michigan, USA. 🇺🇸

Need them a little bigger?
No problem — we can also create custom sizes by request.

💬One of my favorite parts of our new Talkets™ mini line by Speech & Smile is the little speech bubble printed on the bottom. That tiny detail lets you know it’s a Talkets™ original.

We’re working on adding our signature speech bubble to all of our printed minis so you’ll always know they’re designed by Speech & Smile.

About Jill..Speech and Smiles

Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Jill and I have been a speech and language pathologist with children for 20 years. I am also a busy mom of teens and toddlers who loves to encourage better speech sounds with all children including my own.

I live in Northern Michigan and work with children in the school setting. I have continuing education experience with creating speech materials, facilitating professional learning for SLPs, autism course work, child development course work, association participation and hospital experience. I have enjoyed all of these experiences plus more!

However, over the past 2o years, I absolutely enjoy connecting with parents to help support their child's typical or atypical speech development. My professional experience paired with motherhood truly helps me understand the challenges with atypical speech development in children. Parents have the ultimate connections with their child to support and encourage speech sound development when given the right strategies, tips and tools to do so.

This page is my most recent adventure to connect with parents and share simple, easy speech development strategies. I may share a story or interesting article too!
