Blooming Bodies Doula Services My name is Katie Cullen and I am a DTI certified full spectrum doula. When I had my daughter, I never imagined how empowering that experience would be.

A doula is someone who is trained to assist a person during pregnancy, childbirth and support families after a baby is born. Since then, my heart has been called to birth work and my goal is to help educate and emotionally and physically support birthing people to have the birth that they wish to have. You can count on me to be supportive, empathetic, educational, non-judgmental and most importantly I will be there for you and your partner with love and respect. Whether you’re having a home birth, hospital birth, or birthing center birth, I will be there cheering you on. COVID: Your health and safety are my top priority. I have received both doses of the vaccine and will continue to follow the CDC guidelines by wearing a mask, washing my hands often, maintaining social distancing, and offering my services virtually.

Had a post birth follow up with a client this afternoon and it was so great to see them thriving just a few days after giving birth. Community and support are so important in the postpartum phase, especially in the first few weeks when you're figuring out how to be a family. Having meals delivered, folks you trust come do laundry, dishes, walk your pets - all the things you'll be too tired to do - is vital to a positive transition home with baby. It truly does take a village!

Disrupt the system, not birth. As a doula, I witness firsthand how the medical system often overlooks the unique needs of birthing people. While interventions can be incredibly important and life-saving when medically necessary, too often they’re overused or applied without full consent. My mission is to support and empower birthing people with compassionate, respectful care—honoring their choices and helping them navigate a system that isn't built for them.
