Trim fit. Been using it for over 2 years as my pre workout and to help with cravings. The to go packs i put in my desk at work.

Charge just came out this year so I use that for my pre workout and then trim fit after

Consistency is key.

Consistency, while filled with ups and downs, is how we progress.

Showing up for MYSELF

Between 2 jobs, taking care of a loved one with Alzheimer's and Dementia, an additional family member with health issues, Daisy, being on the Board of the Humane Society, organizing an open house / vendor show, sewing orders for Gina J Designs AND studying for 2 exams...

If I don't MAKE the time to take care of me, I can't do all of that.

Make sure you MAKE the time for you, don't wait until "find it" because you never will.

So today I did something a little out of my comfort zone and went to my first in person yoga class ever. It was a BEGINNERS yoga class.

I have been teaching cardio and strength for 12 years but I have always done yoga at home because I struggle with leg flexibility.

So here is what I learned and was reminded of today:

🧘‍♀️EVERYONE has a day one. And day one is never perfect. You learn.

🧘‍♀️ Someday I will be able to straighten my legs in downward dog dang it 😀

🧘‍♀️Its called a Practice for a reason. You need to practice it.

🧘‍♀️Its okay to not be able to touch your toes. We have blocks and straps to help. (We also have mats or you can bring your own)

🧘‍♀️Taking yoga after Step & Tone was great but I need to remember a headband so I can take my hat off.

🧘‍♀️Bring a sweatshirt as the room got chilly, but I was also sweaty.

Victoria has a great way of teaching beginners on how to do the poses, modifications and where you should be feeling it.

Currently the PCC Fitness Center offers yoga three days a week.

Saturdays 8am with Victoria (this is the one I did that's right after my class)

Sundays 8am with Darcy

Thursdays at 4:30pm with Jules.

I know trying something new is scary, but I promise all you need to do is SHOW up! I also know a lot of Cardio and Strength people who don't like it. That's because it forces you to slow down and most likely it's also because your muscles are tight, which is why you NEED it.

Yoga can actually help you towards your goals, help with recovery and prevent injury.

So while this was my first class, it will not be my last.

Just a reminder that movement is good for everyone.....including you 4 legged friends. 2.5 miles done before the rain.  ...
