3 Benefits of Stretching:
Stretching is an often neglected thing but it's importance is immense. There are so many benefits to stretching it would be impossible to cover them all, but here are 3 reasons I believe everyone should incorporate it into their daily routine:
1.) Stretching can improve blood circulation. The act of stretching actively increases blood flow to the muscles and joints. This can help deliver oxygen and nutrients to areas in need, potentially reducing pain and fatigue.
2.) Stretching can reduce the risk of injury. Your body is extremely complex. So many muscles and joints are working together during every movement. One tight muscle could potentially cause an imbalance in your body leading to instability and a increased risk of injury through falling or wrong movement.
3.) Stretching can improve your range of motion. I am sure everyone knows about how stiff and immobile joints like shoulders and knees can be. The act of stretching can increase the range those joints can move which can help you perform simple, everyday tasks like lifting and reaching more efficiently!
