✨ Join us for a powerful Kwanzaa learning experience! ✨

On January 2, 2026, I’ll be teaching a culturally rooted program at the library that honors the legacy, values, and spirit of Kwanzaa through the lens of Black heritage and collective empowerment.

Together, we will explore the Nguzo Saba (Seven Principles), engage in storytelling and cultural expression, and reflect on how Kwanzaa connects to healing, identity, and unity within the Black community. Participants will also be introduced to Black American Sign Language (BASL) and its deep cultural significance.

This month is not only a time of blessing but also a reminder to uplift, educate, and celebrate the beauty of Deaf culture. Deaf Awareness is about more than just recognition its about valuing our language, history, and community.

Let’s continue to spread awareness about Black American Sign Language (BASL) a language rooted in resilience, identity, and pride. BASL carries the stories of our ancestors and continues to shape the way we connect and thrive today. 🤟🏾

As we celebrate this month, let’s also support Deaf-owned businesses and creators who are making an impact every day. When you invest in us, you help preserve our culture, strengthen our community, and open more doors for the next generation.
