Do You Need to Eat Less Protein on a Cardio Day vs Lifting Day???

Following up on my post from yesterday, you need to CONSISTENTLY prioritize protein on a daily basis!

If you're doing resistance training, it takes your body 24-72 hours to fully rebuild the muscle! So you need to prioritize protein over those same 24-72 hours!!

The amino acids in the protein you eat are BUILDING BLOCKS for the new muscle your body is trying to build... As well as the fatty acids in the healthy fat sources.

What You Do at the Gym is Important
BUT...

It's meaningless if you don't prioritize recovery.... And I'm not talking about just your first meal post workout

Your body needs protein, healthy fats, antioxidants and micronutrients in order to rebuild muscle and connective tissue.

Your exercise is the stimulus for muscle protein syntheses, but the food you eat is what actually builds the muscle.

Carbs ARE NOT Your Enemy

After Losing 70 Pounds over 4 Years I Learned A LOT...... Mostly the Hard Way!

And After Becoming a Certified Nutritionist I learned even more!

One of the MOST IMPORTANT lessons I learned was how important carbs are for both weight loss and health

I spent the better part of 2 years riding the keto roller coaster of losing and regaining the same weight over and over again, just getting discouraged

Once I started consistently eating fruits, potatoes, rice, oats and beans I finally achieved stable weight loss without rebounding.

Not only that, but I felt MORE SATISFIED eating carbs

Now, you should stick to mostly whole food sources like fruits, oats, potatoes, beans and rice

So, enjoy your carbs and follow for more weight loss and nutrition tips

Beef & Broccoli over Rice Sticks in a Miso Broth

Beef & Broccoli is one of my favorite combos, and making it at home can make it fit into your weight loss diet!

The Number 1 thing you can do to lose weight is to start cooking dinner at home and eating out less! AND it will save you $$$

BUT - it doesn't have to be complicated, bland or expensive.

I seared off some steaks, and while they rested I used the same pan, adding in some garlic, ginger, water, miso paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, frozen broccoli and brought it all up to a simmer - rinsed my rice sticks and added them in for 5 minutes, done deal!
