To My Patients and the Doylestown Community,

It has been my sincere honor and privilege to serve you and your families over the past four years at Central Bucks Rheumatology. I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the opportunity to be a part of your healthcare journey. Your resilience, kindness, and support have made my work truly meaningful, and I will always cherish the relationships we have built together.

As of October 31, 2025, Central Bucks Rheumatology has closed. All patient medical records are now securely in the possession of Rheumatic Healthcare of Pennsylvania, where your ongoing care and privacy will continue to be a top priority. If you have any concerns, you can reach them at our previous phone number, which is 267-483-8094.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives and for welcoming me into the Doylestown and surrounding communities. I wish you all continued health and well-being.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Sherilyn T. McCollum, D.O., FACR

Dear Patients,

I am writing to share some important news regarding my practice. After much reflection and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to close my practice, effective October 31, 2025. This decision was not made lightly and comes because of various personal and professional reasons. I will be moving into a non-clinical role and will no longer be providing direct patient care. Serving as your rheumatologist has been a deeply rewarding experience, and I am truly grateful for the trust and relationships we have built over the years. It has been an honor to be a part of your healthcare journey, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for allowing me to care for you.

I am pleased to share that Dr. Thomas Quinn of Rheumatic Healthcare of Pennsylvania will be opening a second location in my current office space. Dr. Quinn is an experienced rheumatologist and will continue to provide care at this location, as well as at his existing office in Blue Bell, PA. His office accepts most insurance policies; however, I encourage you to confirm if they accept your specific coverage with his office.
If you wish to continue your care with another physician, we are happy to provide recommendations upon request. We will also facilitate the transfer of your medical records to another physician or practice once we receive a signed authorization for release of records. Please contact our office for more information about transferring your records. If you decide to have your records transferred after October 31, 2025, you will need to contact Dr. Quinn’s office, as they will be the custodian of records. Dr. Quinn’s Blue Bell office information is as follows:

Rheumatic Healthcare of Pennsylvania
583 Skippack Pike
Suite 600
Blue Bell, PA 19422
215-872-5650

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your healthcare journey. Please contact our office if you have any questions or need assistance during this transition.

Sincerely,

Sherilyn T. McCollum, D.O., FACR

Hey, Independence Blue Cross! Do you enjoy denying legimate claims submitted by doctors over and over? My practice submitted a claim to you on 11/11/2021 and you’ve denied it repeatedly for a variety of reasons: didn’t like the ICD-10 codes, didn’t like the CPT code, no referral attached to the claim (which was attached at initial billing and again attached by me PERSONALLY a few months ago when you asked my billers for it again). You repeatedly deny this completely valid claim for inexplicable reasons. All because you don’t want to pay me a lousy $120 for the services I provided your member nearly 3 YEARS AGO. My receptionist and I spent nearly 2 hours on the phone with multiple agents at IBX today and I still don’t have a resolution. Not to mention, my receptionist has to call your company on her cell phone because a patient gave our office number as their home phone number and you refuse to correct it. When we call from our office phone, we get directed to Member Services instead of Provider Services. I ended up emailing my credentialing contacts at IBX for help and I also copied the email to your CEO. I have full intentions of filing a claim with the PA State Insurance Commissioner tomorrow about this ridiculous situation. It’s completely unacceptable.
