I mean you wear 𝐒𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐎𝐎 many hats at work. You come in early and stay late, You were assigned to work with 2 providers but ended your day working with 4, You juggle between running the back office while helping with the front.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
You do all of this with hopes of being rewarded just to end up with a .50 cent pay increase. MA, it's time you stop putting faith in others and put that faith in yourself. It's up to you to get you where you want to be. It's up to you to seek career opportunities that will pay you what you are worth. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Can Medical Assistants open up a business with or without a degree? And My answer has and will always be "𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐘𝐞𝐬"...𝐘𝐞𝐬, 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧! But the question shouldn’t be can we? It should be…What does it take to start a business as a MA? We know that opportunities for MA's don't come easy, so we have to step our game up 10 notches.

What resources do you have that will help you to build out those skills? Who in your network can help you transition from a 9 to 5 MA to MA CEO? Having the idea to start a business is one thing but knowing what skills you possess that can make you successful is another. Discover your top paying skills and then determine the need in the industry or community you want to serve. What problems can you solve? How can your future skills create a product or service that can solve your customers needs.

Listen I know being in the healthcare as a medical assistant is challenging and at times can make you feel inadequate. But what got me through my 19 years in the healthcare industry is owning my confidence and power. Standing on⁣
My strengths and my differences. Knowing that I am enough despite how others perceptions. Listen….Your power is the one thing that no one can take from you and it’s definitely not something that can be given. You have to discover what your power is and use it to your advantage.
