Penn Medicine | Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Outpatient Therapy and GSPP's Development department secured a prestigious grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation, launching a brand-new initiative known as The Philly Power Hour: Movement and Mind.
This four-week, multidisciplinary program combines physical activity, mindfulness and cognitive exercises to support both the body and mind. It’s tailored specifically for people with Parkinson’s disease, providing an uplifting and empowering environment for continued support.
Penn Medicine | Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Outpatient Therapy's team from Pennsylvania Hospital participated in the 24th annual Walk to Stamp Out Parkinson's Disease on Nov. 1. With the theme of "Caring in Motion," this year's event helped raise funds for resources, education and tools needed to navigate Parkinson’s.
Our Pennsylvania Hospital team, which is an outpatient service of GSPP Rehabilitation, works closely with the University of Pennsylvania’s Parkinson Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PD&MDC) at Penn Medicine to provide physical, occupational and speech therapy and education care plans.
