Located in the historic heart of Philadelphia, The Terrace at Chestnut Hill offers a unique community for both personal and memory care residents to call home.

At the Terrace at Chestnut Hill, walking gardens, an inspiring library, incredible chef-prepared meals, art and music rooms can be enjoyed by all. A variety of accommodating floor plans are available including studio private and companion apartments, wheelchair accessible plans, and personal care apartments with kitchenettes. The facility offers a handful of activities such as low-impact aerobics and strength training.

This month, we proudly spotlight Priscilla, a warm and vibrant member of our community. Born and raised in Montross, Virginia, she attended A.T. Johnson High School, where she excelled in basketball and softball and even enjoyed racing cars.

Priscilla later studied psychology and business management at West Chester Community College before beginning her career as an international telephone operator.

She met her husband, Charles, at a dance where they spent the night dancing together. They married on September 12, 1970, and shared 50 wonderful years of love and partnership.

A creative soul, Priscilla loves sewing, needlepoint, decorating, fashion, and cooking. We are honored to celebrate her and the joy she brings to our community.

The elves at The Terrace have been very busy over the past few weeks getting ready for the holidays! Our entire community has been transformed from top to bottom with festive décor, bringing warmth and cheer to every corner.

On the Day of Giving, our Assisted Living residents used their Bingo Bucks to shop for special gifts for our Memory Care residents. They wrapped each present with care and added heartfelt greeting cards to make the moment even more meaningful.

What a wonderful time of year it is — filled with generosity, joy, and the true spirit of community! 🎁✨

This week is National Handwashing Week, a good time to remember how important clean hands are for staying healthy, especially during cold and flu season.

A quick wash with soap and water helps prevent many common illnesses and keeps our community feeling its best. If soap and water are not available, hand sanitizer is a helpful backup.

Let’s all take a moment to care for ourselves and each other. Stay well, everyone!
