The Foundation is a public healthcare charity which serves as the fundraising arm of Methodist Hospi

The Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity that allows Methodist Hospital to continue its stewardship of its community. The bylaws of the Foundation designate that all money donated and gifted to the Foundation is used solely for the betterment of the South Philadelphia community. The Methodist Hospital Foundation solicits grant requests from the public sector for healthcare related programs. The grant p

rogram empowers grass roots organizations by making available to them the financial resources they so desperately need to provide home care, elder care, family and children services and other programs that unite our diverse neighborhood and keep it strong. Since 1998 the Foundation has reinvested over $1,500,000 in the community through its' grant program. The grants awarded represent a collaborative effort between our Community Centers and Organizations as well as other public entities that use these funds to further the goals of a healthier community for South Philadelphia.

Now your mammogram can give you insight into both your breast and heart health.

With heart disease and breast cancer being the leading causes of death in women, we're on a mission to give you more lifesaving insight into your health through one exam.

With Mammo+Heart Al software, we can help identify your cardiovascular risk by detecting the presence of breast arterial calcification on your mammogram. Breast arterial calcification is a calcium build up in the arteries of the breast. As calcium deposits form, the vessel wall becomes stiffer and less elastic and can lead to increased pressure on the heart as it works to pump blood through the vessels. The presence of calcified arteries has been linked to an increased risk for cardiovascular disease in women.
