In my treatment room, I use a more layered approach — incorporating systems like Baumann, Lancer, and Genetic Racial Classification to better understand how skin behaves, heals, and responds to treatment.

Language has always evolved as our understanding deepens.

I am grateful to all the educators and mentors who have dedicated their careers to expanding the terms used in esthetics - so that it better reflects the incredible diversity of human skin.

To me, equitable skincare means making sure every client feels seen, centered, and not measured against an invisible standard. A big portion of my work supports free facials, donation-based services, and education for the volunteer estheticians doing the work. Because equity isn’t just a concept — it’s a daily practice.
