In 1975, as a was walking to my F-4 Aircraft on the tarmac at Holloman Air Force Base, I saw an object in the sky. It was round and yellowish orange in color. When I approached the aircraft I asked the crew chief if he was seeing what I was seeing. He said yes, and said, "I think it's a UFO. You guys get in the cockpit, and I'll give you ground power so you can make a quick takeoff and try to follow it. As soon as I had ground power. I turned on the radio, contacted the tower, and asked the controller if he saw the object. HE did see it and had no idea what it was. He called approach control radar, and they had it on radar.
I got off the ground quickly and attempted to approach it, but it made incredible evasive maneuvers and was able to maintain a good distance both in elevation and azimuth from me. I captured the entire chase on the radar camera.
After the flight, I went directly to base intelligence and made a complete report, giving the intelligence office the radar cassette. The following day, I returned to base intel and ask them what the determination was. They told me I was not in their office the previous evening, and that they had no report from me.
You can't believe anyone anymore!
