WAS (We Are Sisters) Women’s Empowerment Network
The purpose of the group is 1to empower women in ALL areas of life, (education, marriage, dating, raising children, fitness, health, finances etc.) 2to rejoice in each others accomplishments, (marriage, a new relationship, job/business, pregnancy, etc.) 3support each other as sisters should through trying times such as (divorce, death, wayward children, illness, etc.) We believe we can get thru ANYTHING TOGETHER! We meet once a month - to interact PERSONALLY with each other, social media has its purpose, but we need to hear, see and be a part of human emotion and social media has diminished those relationships over the years. We model ourselves from these scriptures Proverbs 31 & Titus 2:3-5 – we are not perfect women but together we are striving to walk in the perfect love of Christ and share this love with one another and the world. What we are not:
We are not a male bashing group. (No further explanation needed)
We are not women teaching women how to love women. We don’t want any confusion that we are just a network for ALL women – we are specific in learning to love ourselves, learning to reciprocate love from men and give back that love to men, according to our beliefs. We have no restrictions on events (all members are welcome.) We do not have married couples dinners, we have couples dinners. We want all of our sisters to understand how valuable they are, and we can’t reach that goal through isolation. Single ladies can bring a male date, fiancée even a male friend, brother or father, etc. We are not a drug addiction/mental help network. We can support you while you support your loved one, but we are aware that we CAN NOT help everyone, and we CAN NOT put members at risk by inviting people who need help through other avenues (i.e. drug addiction programs/mental health programs.) We are not a group that will just give money to anyone who claims they need it, we do charities, help when some is unemployed, unexpected tragedy, etc. But if your electric is about to get cut off and you are in need of money – we may want to see paystubs and how you are handling your finances – REMEMBER we are an empowerment group and if you are not living up to your responsibilities, we aren’t doing our job to empower you to live better and properly handle your obligations. We support our Sisters businesses and will try our hardest to promote them when we can, but we have agreed that ALL MLM marketing is omitted from the group. If you are a part of an MLM business and a sister from the group decides to join with you, and problems come forth from it. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE. That is a personal agreement between you, we just don’t want to get involved in these situations. (You can be a member if you do MLM, we just can’t promote it to the group or allow you to use the group as a platform to grow your team.) We are not a secret club. We do have a closed group page on FB only the members who ATTEND PHYSICAL MEETINGS can see the group and be added to group. Because of the information we share this IS NECESSARY. A organization page is available for all women to join and see, for daily inspiration, upcoming events and how to get involved. We do not have levels of membership. There are no Gold, Silver or Bronze levels. WE ARE SISTERS and our financial, housing, educational background does not define us and we are ALL on the same level. As of March 15, 2014 – we have not collected any dues/membership fees, but in the future if we decide to, the monthly dues will be affordable to ALL, the account balance will be available for all members to see, and the use for the funds will be available for all members to see. Two responsible and faithful stewards shall be elected to oversee the account. This document was created March 16, 2014 – if revision are made the group will be notified.
