CALL FOR PODCAST GUESTS — Holistic Providers Doing Nervous System + Soul Work 🌿

Hi everyone! I’m scheduling guest spots for my podcast, The Spiritually Curious Therapist, and I’d love to feature practitioners from this community.

I’m specifically looking for providers whose work lives at the intersection of the nervous system and the soul. I'm broadening my scope in the new year beyond psychotherapy to people who weave together embodiment, energy, intuition, and deep inner work in ways that help clients move from survival to resonance. We are doing such amazing things in the world - let's get it out there!

If your work explores any of the following, I want to hear from you:

✨ Somatic or nervous system–based healing
✨ Energy medicine + embodiment
✨ Trauma, chronic pain, or limbic work with a spiritual lens
✨ Polyvagal or vagus-based approaches blended with soul wisdom
✨ Sound healing, SSP/RRP, Reiki, breathwork, meditation
✨ Practices or frameworks that connect physiology + intuition
✨ Healing that honors both the body and the deeper Self
✨ Holistic approaches to safety, presence, coherence, or alignment

I love conversations that are real, grounded, thoughtful, and spiritually curious.

If you feel aligned with this, drop a comment below, send me a DM or email me at thespirituallycurioustherapist@gmail.com with a few sentences about your work. Here is a link to the podcast or you can listen wherever you get your podcast! https://thespirituallycurioustherapist.buzzsprout.com

I can’t wait to highlight the beautiful things happening in this community

OMG - I had my Power Story Reading yesterday and it blew my mind! You do not want to miss this episode and when your done I guarantee you will run to book a session with April.
April is a writer, photographer, and intuitive storyteller behind The Ecstatic Wanderer and creator of Power Story Readings. She weaves tarot, personal mythology, and deep listening into a reflective practice that helps people reconnect with their own inner guidance.

In our conversation, we explore:
✨ How story and myth can become medicine for the nervous system.
✨ The shift from seeking certainty to cultivating curiosity — and why that matters for safety and regulation.
✨ The healing power of being witnessed and telling our stories in community.

There were a few tech delays in this one (real life, right?), but it’s a deeply beautiful conversation that I think you’ll love.

🌿 New Podcast Episode: “Power Stories & the Medicine of Myth” with April Isaacs 🌿

This week on The Spiritually Curious Therapist, I had the joy of sitting down with April Isaacs. April is a writer, photographer, and intuitive storyteller behind The Ecstatic Wanderer and creator of Power Story Readings.

April’s work weaves tarot, personal mythology, and deep listening into a reflective practice that helps people reconnect with their own inner guidance. After learning about her process, I was so curious that I actually booked a Power Story Reading for myself.

In our conversation, we explore:
✨ How story and myth can become medicine for the nervous system.
✨ The shift from seeking certainty to cultivating curiosity and why that matters for safety and regulation.
✨ The healing power of being witnessed and telling our stories in community.

Good Morning and Happy November. I am posting to let you all know that I am currently forming a small group that will begin in November. This is a coaching group with the goal of helping people stuck in unhealthy relational patterns.

I’m curious -for the healers, therapists, coaches, and bodyworkers here:
🔸 Do you see this mind-body-soul overlap in your work?
🔸 Have you noticed chronic pain or fatigue patterns in clients who are also trauma-bonded?
🔸 How do you work with the nervous system when insight alone isn’t enough?
Would love to hear your wisdom. This conversation feels overdue in our field.

Below is an explanation of trauma bonds. Please contact me with any questions or if you or someone you know might benefit. As an aside - chronic pain and chronic health conditions often occur alongside these patterns. Neuroplastic pain often distracts from the emotional pain of the relationship.

We hear the term “trauma bond” everywhere now but a lot of people still aren’t totally sure what it actually means.
So here’s a simple way I explain it:
A trauma bond isn’t just an “unhealthy relationship” or “attachment to the wrong person.” It’s a physiological bond formed through cycles of safety and threat where the nervous system starts to associate intensity, anxiety, or inconsistency with connection.

It’s the kind of bond where you:
✔️ Know the situation isn’t good for you
✔️ Can list every red flag
✔️ Have done the healing work, learned the lessons, and yet…
the pull is still there - in the body, not the mind

That’s because trauma bonds aren’t cognitive.
They’re nervous system loops.
And here’s the part many people are just starting to recognize:
🔹 Trauma-bonded patterns and chronic pain come from the same survival wiring
🔹 Both are rooted in threat physiology rather than conscious choice
🔹 Insight doesn’t break them — safety does

Which is why I’m now using the term “Soul Locks” alongside trauma bonds.

It names something deeper:
When the body stays in a loop the soul is ready to outgrow.
Whether that loop shows up in a relationship, in chronic symptoms, in emotional shutdown, or in persistent self-abandonment, the work is the same:
💜 Reduce threat
💜 Restore safety
💜 Repattern what the body thinks love + relief feel like
