🌱 Mark your calendars for October 11! The Navy and Marines will at the Farm for the big mow down, with support from I Want To Mow Your Lawn and their compost sponsor. Volunteers are welcome to lend a hand as we prepare the field for next season and plant garlic in the raised beds.

Rev. Jennell Maddox and staff from Germantown Home recently hosted a spiritual retreat on campus for our network community. More than 65 residents and tenants joined together for a day of renewal and reflection. The retreat was made possible through the guidance of our network chaplains and the support of our .listening_ services team.

The day featured workshops, prayer circles, and a beautiful worship service. We extend our gratitude to Pastor James Scott and the Philadelphia JC Choir for leading us in song and spirit.

Scripture readings focused on Isaiah 40:31:
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.”

Being part of The Tower means more than just living in a beautiful apartment — it means belonging to a learning community built on inclusivity, connection, and opportunity. Here, people of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds live side by side, creating a vibrant housing model where everyone has the chance to thrive.

Last week, management hosted a Meet & Greet — an opportunity to connect, share stories, and build the sense of community that makes The Tower especially unique. The renovations at NewCourtland's Meadow House are officially underway, and we’re excited to share the very first progress photos! Benchmark Construction Group, LLC. () has already made great strides, completing new flooring throughout the first-floor hallway, laundry room, community room, and kitchen—bringing a fresh and welcoming look to these shared spaces.

Next week, work will begin on the first group of resident units, marking an important milestone in the project. These upgrades will enhance both comfort and functionality, ensuring that Meadow House continues to be a warm, safe, and vibrant home for all who live here.

🌺The staff at Germantown Home threw a luau party to celebrate ! Our residents enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, delicious tropical treats, and festive decorations. It was a day of joy as everyone came together to honor our incredible seniors. Mahalo for making it a memorable celebration!

🚧 Clearfield Apartments Progress Update 🏗️

Exciting things are happening at the Clearfield Apartments construction site!
🔹 Major site work underway, including excavation and installation of key infrastructure.
🔹 The building structure is now taking shape, with windows installed and exterior finishing well underway.
🔹 Brickwork and siding are being added, giving the apartments their modern, polished look.

This new development will bring much-needed affordable senior housing opportunities to the community, offering modern design and comfortable living spaces. Each week brings us closer to welcoming new residents into their future homes!
