Spike & Friends Cat Refuge Cats of all ages that need homes We will provide refuge and healthcare for hidden and forgotten cats in upstate NY.

The local feral cat communities overpopulate radically during the summer months when compassionate vacationers naively feed them and then leave them to suffer the brutal winter months on their own, wrongly thinking that it’s a natural way of life. TNR programs have been proven to be effective in thinning and even eradicating feral populations all over the US, we intend to implement this program as far into the woods of Yankee lake as possible.

Update pictures from Marcia who took in 2 cats a couple of years ago.

Cookie is hiding and poking her head around the door. Sneven is bolder. The dogs are afraid to walk past him because he slaps them in the face and hisses.
