District Medical Group District Medical Group (DMG) is a not-for-profit entity consisting of more than 650 credentialed providers working in clinics and hospitals in Maricopa County.

District Medical Group is a not-for-profit entity consisting of over 650 credentialed providers representing all the major medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. Professional clinical services encompass all physicians and mid-level providers staffing a 450 bed acute hospital, a 200 bed psychiatric hospital, a large diagnostic center, 11 family health centers, a nationally and internationally recognized burn center,and numerous outreach programs. We administer the Children’s Rehabilitative Services Phoenix Multi-Specialty Interdisciplinary Clinic, in collaboration with United Health Care, the first of its kind in the Phoenix area. DMG prides itself on clinical excellence. Over 95% of District Medical Group physicians are board certified in more than 25 specialties. Patient satisfaction surveys consistently rate the physician performance above the national average. DMG physicians have garnered both local and national acclaim for their contributions — named as Phoenix’s “Best Doctors” year after year, serving on advisory boards, appointed to governors’ councils, elected to top leadership positions in national associations, and are well known as innovative leaders in medicine.

We are pleased to welcome Lisa McClellan, MD, MPH to the Department of Family Medicine as the new Federal Quality Health Center (FQHC) Medical Director and department Vice Chair. In her FQHC Medical Director role, she will provide clinical leadership to ensure that all care across our FQHC clinics meet the highest standards of quality, safety and outcomes, guided by our pillars of operations, clinical excellence and strategic vision.

Dr. McClellan is a board-certified family medicine physician who has served as Director of Ambulatory Services at Phoenix Indian Medical Center, Indian Health Services since 2022. In this role she guided the departments of primary care, pediatrics, behavioral health, dental, emergency medicine and radiology.

Dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals in Arizona, DMG maintains a balanced program of patient care, education, research and community service.

DMG is a trusted partner in training future healthcare providers in Arizona, and has over 220 residents in nine programs and 60 affiliated programs. DMG is also a founding partner in the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance which aims to increase the number of physicians and other health professionals in Arizona by improving and expanding current health education programs.

DMG Children’s Rehabilitative Services is the largest multi-specialty interdisciplinary clinic in the state of Arizona with over 25 medical specialties and is designed to meet the unique healthcare requirements of special needs children. DMG Desert Horizon Integrative Medicine provides comprehensive behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults and their families. Through these two corporate clinics, DMG directly provides care to the community with over 66,000 patient visits annually.
