Holzer Senior Care Center observed National Frozen Foods Day with a selection of delicious snacks. Residents and staff enjoyed preparing and consuming pizza rolls, cheese sticks, and loaded baked potato skins. Everyone had full bellies and fond memories.

It has been a fantastic week at Holzer Senior Care Center. We have been visited by Ohio University nursing students, enjoyed various games including Hungry Hippos, and our residents have even participated in baking and made delicious cookies. Today, our staff celebrated Employee Appreciation Day with a grazing table featuring an assortment of sweet and salty snacks. We are truly fortunate to have an exceptional team.

February has been filled with enjoyable activities at HSCC. Our residents appreciated a visit from Everleigh Sheets, 1st Runner Up of the Queen of Hearts pageant, a lively Valentine's Day celebration with family and friends, Minute to Win It games, a table hockey competition, a lunch outing to Bob Evans, a visit to HALG for bingo, and our Hearts Across America project received cards from 30 states. Laughter and smiles were heard and seen throughout our facility all month long.

Holzer Senior Care Center residents are participating in the Hearts Across America project, with the objective of receiving a Valentine card from all 50 states. To date, we have received cards from Massachusetts, Ohio, Iowa, New Mexico, Maryland, Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Kansas, and Rhode Island. Residents have thoroughly enjoyed the messages from across the country and have felt the love conveyed in each card. If you would like to send a gesture of affection to our residents, please mail to:
