‼️~Friendly Reminder~ ‼️
Despite many plans allowing a grace period or a partial rollover, roughly 50% of those participating in an FSA forfeit some portion of their funds every year (~$400 on average 😲).

This equates to BILLIONS of lost dollars every year.

Does TRT Cause Baldness?!

*No...but also, yes?*

👉 TRT itself doesn’t cause baldness- here’s what actually happens:

When testosterone levels rise in your body, some of it converts into DHT (dihydrotestosterone) - the build up of this hormone in tissues is responsible for androgenic alopecia (i.e. male pattern baldness).

If you’re genetically predisposed to hair loss, higher DHT levels can speed up that process.

If you’re NOT genetically predisposed, TRT won't likely have any negative impact on the hair on your head (although it may still increase facial and body hair density).

Many men start TRT in their 30s–50s — the same years hair loss naturally starts to show up anyhow — so TRT often gets more than it's fair share of the blame.

Bottom Line: TRT doesn’t “cause” baldness, but it can accelerate it in men already prone to hair loss. If you're really struggling to come to terms with the idea of losing your hair, there are treatments that can be used alongside TRT to manage or slow the process down.

But we tend to agree with Pennel here- embrace it.

TRT ≠ Heart Problems

For years people have worried that testosterone replacement therapy could be risky for heart health.

The data shows otherwise.

Large studies, including the TRAVERSE trial, show TRT does not increase the risk of heart attack or stroke. In fact, men with low testosterone who increase their testosterone to optimized levels often see better cardiovascular outcomes and lower all-cause mortality.

"Everything works fine down there!"

We hear this almost daily from patients inquiring about TRT. Men often (wrongly) assume their testosterone levels aren't the problem because things are still going fine in the bedroom.

While at the same time they're struggling in the gym. Or with depression. Or anxiety. Or fatigue. Or brain fog. Or, oftentimes, putting in effort just doesn't feel as good as it used to feel.

Testosterone is a neurohormone. it's critical for mitochondrial development, nerve-to-muscle signaling, bone density, etc...
..It also increases blood flow and dopamine levels in your brain...
..and THAT increases libido.

So yeah. It's good for the bedroom.

It's just not ONLY good for the bedroom. 😉
