As the Festival of Lights begins tonight, we’re wishing peace, comfort, and moments of brightness to all who celebrate. May each candle bring a little more hope and warmth.

Hanukkah begins the evening of December 14th and continues through the evening of December 22nd. Also known as the Festival of Lights, Hanukkah commemorates a miracle in Jewish history: A small amount of oil that was only meant to last one night burned for eight nights, providing light as the Holy Temple in Jerusalem was restored.

The photograph features Thriver Cara’s beautiful menorah. A reminder that one person’s light can reach far beyond one place as Cara brings hope to breast cancer communities locally and across the country 💙

The Pennsylvania Legislature has passed Senate Bill 88 for NO-COST diagnostic breast imaging - that includes mammograms, breast MRIs and ultrasounds for individuals insured under PA law.

Thank you to sponsors Senator Kim Ward and Senator Frank Farry, to Rep. Gina H. Curry for introducing the House companion bill, and to Speaker Rep. Joanna McClinton for moving SB 88 forward. Thank YOU for contacting your state lawmakers and sharing the lifesaving importance of this legislation! Now on to the Governor's desk for signature.
