Chronic heavy alcohol use is linked to a higher risk for colore**al cancer, but quitting may reduce the risk of precancerous growths. In a large US screening trial, heavy drinkers (≥14 drinks/week) had a 25% higher risk for colore**al cancer and nearly double the risk for re**al cancer compared with light drinkers. Those who drank heavily throughout adulthood faced a 91% higher colore**al cancer risk than consistent light drinkers. https://bit.ly/3OhsyGY
