I’m Larissa Lyons. I am a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, and Mindfulness Guide. I cater to women in their 20-30’s who are motivated to build physical strength, mental resilience, mindful awareness, and insane confidence. My mission is to help you strengthen your body and your mind and re-connect with your inner warrior. We do this by overcoming physical obstacles and using mindfulness to recognize the bullsh*t we tell ourselves…then we move through it and rise up. I do this through 100% tailor-made programming for each woman that I work with. Everything is customized for you: your workouts, your stretching and foam-rolling exercises, your nutrition, your mindset techniques. There’s no cookie cutter programming here. Your workouts are based on your goals and experience, as well as a physical assessment that you’ll complete where I note any movement compensations you may have. This assessment is repeated monthly. I help you address those movement compensations with personalized stretching and foam-rolling exercises, and I also take your compensations into consideration when I create your workouts. Your nutrition plan is completely customized as well, based on your goals, your current eating habits, and your relationship with food. I do NOT prescribe meal plans; I teach you how to confidently choose your food to optimize your nutrition for your goals and health! Your mindset plan is based on where your head is currently at! Meaning it will change and morph over time, depending on what you need. We may use affirmations, visualization, meditation, and journaling, among other techniques. Your MIND is the most important part of this – if you are not paying attention, your mind will take the easy way out, come up with excuses, and tell you bullsh*t stories. I teach you how to recognize these limiting thoughts so that you can come out knowing how truly capable you are. On each of these aspects, I make sure to check in with you regularly; we are constantly evaluating and evolving this program to work for YOU. I offer one-to-one training in 3-, 6-, and 12-month packages. Programs shown on my website are 100% virtual. I offer in-person training at an additional cost if you are in the Pittsburgh area. All of my programs utilize my mobile app where you can find and track your workouts, exercise progress like reps and weight, nutrition and mindset habits, progress photos, food log photos, and more. I am available via email and app communication throughout the entirety of your program. Each program includes an optional monthly zoom call, and I make sure to check in on you at least weekly. What “counts” as a workout?

Mamas, listen up: I get that it’s harder to get to the gym now; harder to get in an uninterrupted workout.

(& btw, i do encourage you to really try & get that uninterrupted time for yourself, b/c it might be just what you need)

BUT! especially IMMEDIATE POSTPARTUM (0-3 months) when you’re in that season when it feels impossible, remember that 5,10,20-minute workouts COUNT!

it is most important right now that you reconnect to your core & pelvic floor. The good news is that all this takes is your breath & intention.

Take a few minutes for yourself to do one of these:
- diaphragmatic breathing: breathe in to expand your ribs & relax pelvic floor → breathe out to gently activate pelvic floor & zip all the way up your core (from bottom to top). put your hands just in your hip bones to feel the deep core engaging.
- stretch: hamstring stretch, side bends, chest opener on a door frame
- mobility: pigeon pose, child’s pose w/ knees in, hip shifts on a block

she is sooo loved by everyone around her. She is a smiley happy girl. She is a good little sleeper. She looks for me whenever she hears my voice. She giggles ❤️

I’m so thankful I get to do the baby phase again with her…now the hard part is soaking it all in while my attention is more divided this time. I am constantly praying to be present. Even though these babies drive me nuts at least once a day, I would not trade this for the world ❤️🙏

Since I last posted, Dagny’s gotten baptized, Gideon’s been playing with his best buddies & neighbors, he’s been getting to know his sister more, and he’s discovered that he likes zested and juiced lemons😅👌

Just in case you forgot that social media isn’t showing real life, I am including the last video to show a real life moment 🤣

SM can glamorize (and belittle on the other end of it) motherhood. It can make you feel like you’re so alone in the hard moments and like every other mother has perfect babies and a perfect life without any breakdown moments. And I don’t really blame people for that, bc no one is filming their breakdown moments. (Ok some ppl do😅 like me when I’m showing my gf that Dagny does indeed cry lol)

Mamas!! We just gotta remember that this little screen you’re looking at isn’t showing it all. There’s good and bad in it in. There’s good, bad, challenging, and amazing allllll wrapped up in motherhood. There are definitely days where I am OVER it and at the same time wouldn’t trade it for the world. and at the same time…OVER IT 😬👏
