Prepping for a long WOD like Chad 1000?
Here’s how to fuel for energy, endurance, and recovery 👇

START THE DAY BEFORE:
Build your base with good fuel + hydration!
✅ Eat 3 balanced meals: lean protein, complex carbs (rice, potatoes, oats, pasta), veggies, and healthy fats.
💧 Drink water throughout the day. A for AT LEAST 64 oz
⏰ Don’t try new foods. Stick to what you know works for your stomach.



🍳 THE MORNING OF:
You’re fueling for endurance, not just power!
✅ Eat 2–3 hours before your workout: carbs + a small amount of protein.
💪 Examples: oatmeal with banana & nut butter, or eggs with toast + fruit.
💧 Hydrate early! 16–20 oz of water before you warm-up. If you tend to sweat a lot, add electrolyte mixes.
⚡ If you need a top-off snack, grab a banana, rice cake, or small energy bar 30–60 min before you start.

🍳 DURING THE WORKOUT:
💦Small sips of water
🍇Quick carbs if you start to feel weak/light headed
💪 Examples: Gatorade, fruit snacks, honey packet (go for something small that doesn’t require much effort to consume)

🍳 AFTER THE WORKOUT:
You’ve spent your fuel refill your tank!
✅ Within 30–60 minutes: protein + carbs = recovery.
💪 Examples: protein shake + banana, or chicken + rice + veggies.
💧 Keep sipping water the rest of the day.
😴 Sleep, stretch, and schedule some active recovery for the following day



🔥 Remember: performance = training + nutrition + recovery.
