The Lotus People offers yoga instruction, technology consulting, vegan recipes and hand knits to the Pittsburgh area and beyond. Watching you all find your strength, refine your alignment, and embrace the challenge was truly inspiring. You found the right balance between effort and ease and I hope that the next time you flow, you feel prepared by what we learned today.

A huge thank you to everyone who rolled out their mats for Kitty Yoga 🐈🐈‍⬛🧘‍♀️

We had a wonderful time flowing and the kitties love the attention. Events like these help the cats get comfortable with new friends while supporting Kitty Queen’s mission.

They are lots of sweet cats that need homes and are almost at capacity. If you are looking for your next feline friend, check them out!

Practice and all is coming. Wheel is a pose that I struggle with, but with the right preparation it can seem effortless.

Engaging your scapulae properly makes a huge difference. What a coincidence that shoulders are on tap for April. 😉

With a full moon eclipse, time change and (looks at everything) going on in the world right now, self care is important. Yogic practices are a tool to help us sustain ourselves in these times.

Practice not to escape, but to support and fortify for what comes next.

After class, I sometimes take a few minutes to work on a few challenging postures, to remind myself that I can do hard things. We don’t have to be perfect, we just have to show up.

March brings us shoulder work along with the strengthening of supporting muscles. The lats are where we begin. Lats help maintain structural integrity.

Strength and fortitude.

Join us all month to see where we go! This focus will continue into April.

Our practice is not just asana, it gives us the room to explore, to fly, to fall, to speak truth, to call out injustice, to seek liberation for all. Creating connection. Recognizing and crediting our teachers, and lineage of all yoga (not just the poses).
