I’ve been working in the field of behavioral health since 2005. In 2010, I completed my training in Applied Behavior Analysis through Penn State University. I then began working as a Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC), designing treatment for children with autism and other behavior disorders. My job entailed leading a team of parents, teachers, caregivers, and direct-care staff by helping them effectively implement the appropriate behavior change interventions for the client. A year later, I began overseeing other BSC’s and training them on how to use applied behavior analysis to reduce antisocial behavior and teach life skills. Why Health Coaching? My diet and exercise habits, along with my Faith, have really freed me in so many ways. I have a very positive self-image, adequate energy levels, and I’m almost always in a good mood. Furthermore, my physical health is terrific – aches and pains are very rare and I no longer suffer from digestive issues. Although one never knows what can happen, I am excited to live a long, disease-free life. But that is not enough for me. It breaks my heart seeing friends and loved ones suffering from mental and physical ailments that could be eliminated, or at least mitigated, through proper diet and exercise. I want everyone to experience the same happiness I’ve found. I am very passionate about improving the lives of others, and with my expertise and experience in behavior change, I feel that I have the tools to help people learn to live the healthy lifestyle they desire.
