I wrote this a couple of years ago, and it is even more important to remember today!
I saw a post saying this world needs to find God again.
I believe from years of study that this world does not need to find the God we were taught to believe is out there somewhere. Instead, this world needs to remember or learn that God/The Divine resides within each of us. Therefore, we need to find the "God" (whatever name you choose to call it) within us.
Many organized religions teach us artificial beliefs that God is somewhere out there in the heavens, all-powerful and judging every move we make. This was done to keep us living in fear and toeing the line of whatever religion we were taught. Unfortunately, this also taught us to judge others if they do not believe, look, or act as we do. This judgment has caused more hate and wars than almost anything else.
Jesus said in the bible, “The kingdom of heaven is within.” This means that we all have the Divine within us. God resides inside of us ALL, and each and every one of us has the ability to manifest peace, love, and goodwill on this earth by what we believe, how we think, and how we act. Remember, we are all God’s chosen ones in whom he is well pleased. We are the tabernacle. 🥰
We all need to start looking for that Divine spark inside each of us. Yes, I mean EVERYONE—those you like and those you don’t. We need to remember that we are ALL brothers and sisters created from the same Divine source, regardless of what name you choose to call it. We ALL breathe the same air and drink the same water.
So, once again, we all have the Divine spark within us, even those who do not act like you, look like you, or worship like you.
When we choose to see the Divine inside each other, we will respect each other and treat everyone on this planet as one of God’s creations.
Once we all learn to see the Divine in each other, our hate, criticism, and disrespect of each other will end.
Then, and only then, will this world know peace.
I choose to see the “GOD,” the “GOOD” in you! ~ Carol A Briney
