Any students interested in getting involved in clinical experience, volunteering, service to underserved populations, and community based research (at the same time)? Please come to “Panther Kidney Disease Screening & Awareness Program’s” first general body meeting TONIGHT Posvar: room 1501 AT 9PM!!!

We are an organization that aims to prevent kidney disease in underserved populations around Pittsburgh by holding student run medical screenings (with CMU). Trained student volunteers will perform medical test such as urine analysis, BMI and waist-hip ratio measurements, blood pressure tests, and blood glucose tests on the patients. We will also have a physician with us at the screenings (Dr. Jose Bernardo, nephrologist at UPMC) who will analyze the results of the tests.

Not only will you get to interact with physicians and patients, but you will be actually providing care and running tests on patients.

Please Join Us this Thursday!
