I haven't posted since I closed the business, but this is too important. As a childbirth educator and birth doula, I support pregnant people's choices in pregnancy and birth. This includes the decision regarding carrying a pregnancy to term. I will always support a woman's right to choose. Always. We must fight for our autonomy. Abortion is healthcare. I am angry and disheartened today at SCOTUS's decision to strike down Roe.

Safe abortion care is essential to protect the health of women & girls everywhere.
Removing access to abortion care will put more women & girls at risk of illegal abortions and the consequent safety issues that would bring.

Every year over 25 million unsafe abortions take place and up to 37,000 women die.

Evidence shows that restricting access to abortion does not reduce the number of abortions that occur.
Restrictions are, however, more likely to drive women and girls towards unsafe procedures.

What??? This professor was dead wrong. You do not get to tell a woman when or how to breastfeed her baby.

Thousands of parents are juggling parenthood and other responsibilities from home during the coronavirus pandemic. A professor told a mom to wait until after class to breastfeed her baby.

Interesting. Some women may be genetically predisposed to feel pain less intensely.

Our ability to track and analyze data on pregnant women and COVID-19 is hindered by this administration. Not only did they cut funding to the CDC, but leadership who didn’t agree with the administration either were terminated or resigned. Vote in November like your life depends on it.

After months of asserting pregnant women were not at high risk for the coronavirus, the CDC recently released a study with sobering findings for expectant mothers. Experts say the data gaps are almost as worrisome as the results.
