David Thomas grew up in a small Pennsylvania town, Gilpin, and is a loving father, son, brother, partner, uncle, fisherman, hunter, and friend. David was diagnosed with end stage liver cancer and has just been placed on the liver transplant list. Unfortunately, there are not enough organs available for everyone on the transplant list, so David's medical team is urging us to find a living liver donor with any blood type to donate at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
David has been on this journey for several years and is finally on the liver transplant list! Please consider giving the "gift of life" by getting tested to see if you are a suitable candidate to donate a piece of your liver! A healthy person aged 18-58 (male or female and of any ethnic background) can donate a piece of their liver to save David's life. The liver is incredible and will regenerate in only a few months!
If you are interested in helping in any capacity, please email us at 09davidneedsaliver@gmail.com, and we will set up a time to speak on the phone.
About David:
David is 43 years old, a loving partner, and a dad to three children -- a 15 year old son, 11 year old daughter, and 8 year old son -- plus a loyal hunting dog, Dozer, and cat, Stormy. David works in a warehouse as a fork lift operator and, when healthy, was an avid outdoorsman, whether it was taking his dog and children fishing, playing outside with his family, taking his kids to the park, or going camping or hunting. He is eager to find a living liver donor so he has a chance to return to "normal life" with his family for many years to come!
Please forward and share this message with anyone and everyone. We seek someone brave and generous in volunteering to give the gift of life! Thank you so much to anyone willing to spread the word.
Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts,
David and his living donor search team
