Drumroll, please…

Golden Age
“turkey-neck”
soft tallow butter

Last week I mentioned one of my favorite places to use tallow: the neck.
It’s also one of the first places we tend to show age, as the skin here is especially delicate.

Golden Age was created to deeply rehydrate and support this often-neglected area.

A concentrated, premium, organic night treatment for the neck and décolleté.

Made with grass-fed tallow, rare seed oils like desert date and prickly pear, as well as a resin-rich blend of frankincense, sandalwood, and soft botanicals of rose, blue lotus, finished gently with real vanilla oleoresin.

Designed to melt on contact.
A fingertip is all you need.

$26 | small batch

Quiet confidence. No hype.

NEW AT VIBE
Suffer from neck, shoulder, jaw, tension and/or headaches?!

Still Point
A deeply restorative treatment focused on the upper back, neck, head, jaw, and face, created for those who carry tension through the neck, shoulders, temples, and facial muscles or experience frequent headaches.

This gentle yet profound session includes specialized intraoral (buccal) techniques performed from inside the mouth to release deep facial and jaw tension that cannot be accessed externally. The work is subtle, intentional, and deeply calming, often bringing relief where other approaches have not.

Throughout the session, you will rest comfortably on a heated infrared Biomat, allowing the body to soften, the nervous system to settle, and the work to integrate more fully.

This session includes:

Upper back, neck, shoulders, head, and facial massage
Intraoral (buccal) facial release
Gentle lymphatic drainage of the face and neck
Warm stones to soften deeply held tension
Heated infrared Biomat therapy for deep relaxation
Light therapy to support relaxation, circulation, and nervous system balance
Microcurrent facial therapy to encourage muscle relaxation
Gua sha for circulation and fascial release
Targeted sound therapy to support nervous system regulation
cupping (optional) to release fascia tension
Session Lengths Info

45 minutes Focused relief for head, neck, and shoulder tension

60 minutes Extended time for deeper release and full integration

A Gentle Note

Intraoral facial work is always optional and performed slowly, respectfully, and with your comfort as the priority. Clear communication is encouraged throughout the session, and any technique can be adjusted or skipped at any time. This treatment is designed to support relaxation and tension relief and is not intended to diagnose or treat medical conditions.

Facial Oils: Why oils and why “the right oil” really matters.

I’ve been seeing a lot of conversation lately about oils being “bio identical” and ideal for all skin types. These are important conversations have!

As an esthetician, I want to share some information:

There is no single oil that is perfect for every face. Yup, I said it.

Human sebum is a complex lipid system, and different skin types need different lipid profiles to keep follicles clear, inflammation low, and the skin barrier healthy.

Facial oils can help keep the skin calm, hydrated, and balanced. Our skin needs healthy lipids to protect the barrier and hold in moisture. When the barrier is stressed, skin can become dry, sensitive, inflamed, or even break out more. The right oil helps support the barrier and bring the skin back into balance, even for oily or acne-prone skin.

Why some oils work beautifully for one person and cause breakouts in another often comes down to:

• Saturated fat content
• Linoleic acid levels
• How thick the oil is in the follicle
• How reactive or congested the skin is

Some oils are excellent for body care and very dry skin, but can be too heavy for many faces.

Some oils are ideal for acne prone and combination skin because they help thin sebum and improve follicular flow.

Some oils are best used as targeted treatments, not full face daily oils.

For example:

I love jojoba as a daily facial oil because it closely mimics the wax esters in human sebum and is very well tolerated across most skin types. I often use this as my base oil with other oils.

I love squalane for barrier repair and aging skin because it closely mimics natural skin lipids and is one of the safest oils across many skin types.

I love desert date and prickly pear for mature and post menopausal skin because they support elasticity, barrier strength, and fragile skin.

I love Tamanu for reactive and inflamed skin because of its powerful calming and healing properties. Even oily and acne prone skin needs the right kind of oil to repair the barrier, reduce inflammation, and normalize sebum production.

And y’all, I love correctly rendered tallow on the lips, legs, hands, and very dry skin. It’s a wonderful ingredient in the right place, but often too heavy for most (not all) faces. I especially love it on the aging skin of the neck, because those “turkey neck” issues are real and a bear to address.

In professional skincare, the goal is simple:

Healthy follicles.
Calm skin.
Strong barrier function.
Long term stability.

Great ingredients matter but where and how they’re used matters just as much.

Not every ingredient belongs on every face.

xo,
Kimber

Valentine Vibe

In the month of February, I’m going to offer a 30-minute mini facial or massage session as a gift to 3 people in our community.

If you know someone who could really use a little care right now, I would love for you to nominate them.

Please make sure you get their permission first before submitting their name.

Here’s how it will work:
• Send me the name of your nominee
• Include a brief note about why you feel they need this care right now
• I’ll personally choose three recipients based on the nominations
• The winners will be announced the week before Valentine’s Day!

Sometimes the best Valentine’s gift is simply being cared for.

I can’t wait to read your nominations.

Some of my clients come once a month.
Some come every week. Some come a few times a year.

Sometimes, I sense a little guilt around it,
like caring for their body needs to be justified.

So, I want to gently say this.

Massage is healthcare.
It is preventive care when you come before stress or injury builds.
It is restorative care when your body is asking for help.

Both matter. Deeply.

Massage supports your body in very real ways:

• It helps regulate the nervous system
• It invites the body out of fight and flight and into rest
• It lowers stress hormones like cortisol
• It improves circulation and lymphatic flow
• It eases tension before it becomes chronic pain
• It supports sleep, digestion, hormones, posture, and mental clarity

So many of the things we have come to accept as normal: tight shoulders, jaw pain, headaches, poor sleep, constant fatigue are often just signs of a body that has not been given time to release and reset.

We often forget: Touch is a biological need. So, caring for yourself before crisis is not indulgence. It is wisdom.

I started out as dentomandibular rehabilitation therapist working with those with migraines/tmj/tmdd, in a dental office. I then moved on to massage school and full body massage in some of the most beautiful destination location spas in the country!

By far, my favorite part of my career has being here in Sanders County providing massage, facials, waxing, & esthetic services. It’s good to be home!

PSA Incoming
From Vine MT & Honey’s Garden! I love y’all . I want to protect your skin and health!

As a licensed esthetician I’m seeing some people come in with skin concerns and they are using products that are likely the culprits.

I’m seeing more and more skincare products, online and locally, where the ingredients are clearly listed, and they contain water or hydrosols, but no approved preservative system. I’m not a fan of the use of alot of preservatives and I have made and ordered products that utilize this belief SAFELY!

This is important:

If a skincare (anything you apply to skin) product contains any water, even water, hydrosols, aloe, teas, distillations …

It is at risk for bacterial, yeast, and mold growth without a broad-spectrum preservative. ( unless it’s refrigerated from the start)

It’s not safe.
Period.

This is not about guessing or being alarmist. This is about reading ingredient labels. This is about your health and safety.

Vitamin E is not a preservative.

Essential oils are not preservatives.

High pH is not a complete preservation system.

In properly formulated skincare,
the preservative system is always listed on the ingredient label.

You shouldn’t have to ask the producer.

So, here is the simple consumer rule:

If a water-based product does not clearly list an APPROVED preservative on the label, then steer clear.

Now, to be fair, there are cases where alcohol can act as a preservative. Alcohol can preserve a product only at high concentration. In most handmade skincare, the alcohol level is too low to do that safely and high-alcohol formulas aren’t great for skin long-term anyway.

There are ways to make preservative-free skincare safely:
• Truly anhydrous products: oils, balms, butters
• Or dry products that the customer adds water to at the time of use.

That’s it.

Once any water based liquid is added in manufacturing, a real preservative system is no longer optional.

Contaminated skincare often:
• Looks fine
• Smells fine
• Feels fine

Until it isn’t.

This isn’t about shaming small makers. It’s about protecting skin, eyes, and immune systems. It’s me caring for clients, my neighbors AND small cottage industries that are doing their best to meet a need.

Read labels.
Protect your skin.
Protect your immune system.

IF YOU DON’T LIKE MY STANCE- you can go do the 1750 hours of training I’ve completed in skin care and esthetics and then we can have an educated conversation. I mean this with great love 💜
