Her Nomination Read:
It is my privilege to nominate Michelle M. RN from CHI Good Samaritan PCU for the Daisy Award. She fits all the recognition standards of “skillful, compassionate care nurses provide everyday”.

I was hospitalized in October 2025 for five days with Michelle as my nurse for three evenings. She always had a smile as she came into my room fully professionally prepared, efficient and willing to get whatever I needed. She never left my room without asking if there was anything else I needed or she could do for me. On a busy evening she even took time to walk the hall with me.

Miracles happen as well! One evening when I experienced syncopal episode, I believe she saved my life when she walked by my room and decided to make an extra check. She found me and quickly called the Emergency Response Team and assisted in bringing me back. We both believe God was in this moment.

I am grateful to Michelle for her exceptional care. An excellent nurse doing an excellent job.With a grateful heart, I want to recognize Michelle for her expertise and care in a stressful profession. A wonder, skilled nurse indeed! Best wishes and prayers and blessings, as you continue your career.

We know that with the recent government shutdown times have been tough. CHI Health Plainview and the North Central District Health Department have placed a 24 hour emergency pantry on the northwest corner of the hospital lot. If you find yourself in need, please help yourself.

Operation Christmas Child boxes sent around the world to children in need. CHI Health Plainview staff have participated in this program for the last 3 years. Each year the program has grown, this year our goal was to collect 30 boxes and we were able to surpass that goal by sending out 37 boxes. Thank you to everyone that participated.
