✨We’re excited to be opening new eating disorder recovery groups at Embodied Counseling for teens, adults, and parents.✨

💛Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation—community is an essential part of healing. Research shows that evidence-based group treatment is often more effective than individual therapy alone, while also costing a fraction of individual sessions.💵

☕️These groups are designed to offer meaningful connection, skilled clinical support, and a place where no one has to do this alone.🤝
Groups are forming now—reach out if you’d like to learn more.✨

🎉Want to make your life better without weight loss? Here are some ideas! Save for later🩷

Everyday Joy & Mental Well-Being
• Do things that absorb you (music, drawing, gaming, writing, building things)
• Spend time with people who feel safe and fun—laughing is real medicine
• Get outside regularly, even briefly (sunlight, trees, fresh air)
• Create small things to look forward to (a favorite show, weekly ritual, cozy routine)
• Practice gratitude in low-pressure ways (photos, voice notes, short lists)
• Limit comparison on social media; follow accounts that feel kind and inspiring

Movement That Feels Good (Not Punishing)
• Move for enjoyment, not calories: walking with music, dancing, stretching, biking
• Choose movement that fits your energy, including gentle or playful options
• Rest when needed—rest is part of health
• Explore body awareness (yoga, tai chi, breathing exercises)
• Celebrate what your body can do, not how it looks

Sleep & Recovery
• Create a wind-down routine (dim lights, calming music, reading)
• Aim for consistency, not perfection, with sleep times
• Make your sleep space cozy (blankets, pillows, temperature)
• Take breaks during the day to prevent burnout

Emotional & Social Health
• Name and express emotions (talking, journaling, art)
• Set gentle boundaries to protect your energy
• Ask for help when things feel heavy
• Do kind things for others—it boosts mood and connection
• Spend time with pets or animals if possible

Self-Respect & Body Neutrality
• Wear clothes that feel comfortable and expressive
• Speak to yourself like you would to a friend
• Focus on function and feeling, not appearance
• Challenge “health = thinness” myths
• Remember: health is multi-dimensional, not visible

Before we rush into New Year’s resolutions, let’s pause for a moment.
Before fixing, changing, or optimizing… let’s honor.

2025 asked a lot of us.
You showed up in ways no one else may ever see.
You survived things you didn’t think you could.
You adapted. You learned. You kept going—even when it was heavy.

Growth isn’t always loud or Instagram-worthy.
Sometimes it looks like resting.
Setting a boundary.
Asking for help.
Not giving up.

Before we ask “Who do I want to become next?”
Let’s ask:
What did I make it through?
How did I grow?

✨ What’s one thing you’re proud of yourself for this year?
Drop it below—or just hold it quietly for yourself. It still counts.
