This video was supposed to be shown at dōTERRA's leadership conference in March before I was to speak on stage in front of thousands. 😳

It's so funny - I NEVER intended on doing dōTERRA as a business when I started using their essential oils almost 12 years ago. But it became a natural progression to share what was working for me and my family with other families.

I had witnessed throughout my life what it looks like when people feel they have run out of viable options. And I hated it.😥

12 years later, my little side hustle became an enterprise....and quite honestly - a calling. I could authentically stand behind the options dōTERRA was providing. Safer, more affordable, more effective options.

Now with 80,000 members on my team (and counting), I'm glad I chose to go ALL IN back in 2010 after being a customer for 2 years. This means that 80,000 families all over the world have powerful options in their homes that they didn't know about or have before.❤️

80% of my team are customers, but 20% have chosen to do this as a business. Just like me, most of them had no intention of doing this as a business either. Like me, they naturally shared these natural options with those they loved - they couldn't help it! And just like me, many of them have multiplied their income (residually!), and are financially free to pursue their missions and purposes they feel called to do.

So here's the thing: And if you're still reading this, you're probably supposed to be seeing this. dōTERRA just announced a way people can basically be at the ground floor level again in the U.S. - only NOW they are a billion dollar company with 12 years of proven validity and growth to become the #1 company in the industry in the U.S., and the largest essential oil company in the world.

I don't often post about my doTERRA business, and even more rarely post about business "opportunities" online (icky), but the landscape has kinda shifted the past few months. I've seen too many friends lose their jobs, businesses, and incomes overnight.💔💔

Time to talk about self-nurturing!

1. Gratitude (gratitude journaling; gratitude nature walk; thank you letters)

2. Music Therapy (stream uplifting music through your car, office or home; sing or hum along; play/learn musical instrument)

3. Meditation (be still, breathe, and "be"; use a meditation app for guided imagery; yoga)

4. Nature Therapy (get bare feet on the earth; sun on face; listen to nature sounds; take a nature walk)

5. Play (skip; wrestle with kids; swim; "be" with kids; sports; games; watch funny production or movie)

6. Beautify Surroundings (put fresh flowers in home; de-clutter; paint; organize; designate a space for creation)

7. Seek YOUR Truth (study what lights your fire and fascinates you; read scriptures/sacred texts; listen to audio books; retreats)

“You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give

A few years ago we had the pleasure of volunteering through The dōTERRA Healing Hands Foundation. This foundation works to empower people and communities worldwide to make a positive change.

These photos are from our doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation Service Trip in Jamaica back in 2015. We traveled to Jamaica and joined a group of local college students studying agriculture at a farm. When we arrived, the ground was already cleared and tilled so we were handed bags of ginger that needed to be planted.

With so many volunteers it didn’t take long to plant the acres of ginger! Even though we were technically on vacation, all of us dōTERRA advocates were there to serve. It was honestly one of the best parts of the trip and it went by too fast.

We also donated to the non-profit organization called, Farm Up Jamaica. They are committed to assisting farmers to cultivate the growth of high quality, organic food within Jamaica. These funds provide a solar powered drying and processing facility too.

Leland always wanted to go back to school and get his MBA. With 8 babies back to back and running our global wellness business, it never seemed like the right time for him to be able to do it.

We realized the time was going to go by either way and if it's one thing we know well - it's how to juggle lots of moving pieces.

Balance isn't about spending the same amount of time and focus on all the areas of your life. It's about keeping track of the quality and progress you're making in those areas. If it's meaningful to you, you'll FEEL more in balance.

What is one thing you've always wanted to do, but "life" has seemed to get in the way (or something you did anyway!)?

The changes might be for good or ill, but the most noteworthy example are those individuals who grow up in an abusive, emotionally destructive environment and who somehow find a way to metabolize the poison and refuse to pass it on to their children.

They break the mold. They refute the observation that abused children become abusive parents, that the children of alcoholics become alcoholic adults, that "the sins of the fathers are visited upon the heads of children to the third and forth generation." Their contribution to humanity is to filter the destructiveness out of their own lineage so that the generations downstream will have a supportive foundation upon which to build productive lives.
